Accessories - Pots and Pans

Only use pots and pans made from ferromagnetic material suitable for induction hobs, such as enamelled steel, cast iron, or special stainless steel pots and pans.

Check for the Ill symbol (usually stamped on the bottom) to determine suitability. A magnet can also be used to check if pots are magnetic.

The quality and structure of the pot base affect cooking performance. Some indications for base diameter may not match the actual ferromagnetic surface diameter.

Pots with only a partial ferromagnetic bottom may heat unevenly. If the non-ferromagnetic area is too large, the hob might not recognize the pan.

Empty pots or pots with a thin base

Do not use empty pots or pans when the hob is on. The hob has a safety system that activates an "automatic off" function at high temperatures. Using empty or thin-based pots can cause rapid temperature rises, potentially damaging the pan or hob. If this occurs, wait for components to cool down. Contact the service centre if error messages appear.

Minimum diameter of pot/pan base for cooking areas

To ensure proper function, use pots with a suitable minimum diameter:

Cooking ZoneMinimum Diameter (Ø min.)
Zone 1120 mm
Zone 2220 mm
Zone 3100 mm
Zone 4150 mm

Always use the cooking zone that best corresponds to the minimum pot diameter. Center the pot on the zone. Avoid using pots that exceed the perimeter of the cooking zone.

For optimum efficiency, use pots and pans with a flat bottom that distributes heat evenly.

Adapter for Pots/Pans Unsuitable for Induction

An adapter disc can be used for pots/pans not suitable for induction. However, this affects efficiency and heating time. Use should be limited, as surface temperatures depend on the pot, its flatness, and the food. Using a pot smaller than the adapter disc can cause heat buildup, potentially blackening the hob and disc. Ensure pot/pan diameter matches the adapter and hob.

First Time Use

Power Management

At purchase, the hob is set to maximum power. Adjust this setting based on your home's electrical system limits.

N.B: Depending on the selected power, some cooking zone levels and functions (e.g., boil, fast heating) may be automatically limited.

To set the hob power:

  1. Connect the device to the mains power supply.
  2. Within 60 seconds, press and hold the far-right timer "+" button for at least 5 seconds. The display will show "PL".
  3. Press the OK button (3s) to confirm.
  4. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to select the desired power level (available levels: 2.5 kW, 4.0 kW, 6.0 kW, 7.2 kW).
  5. Confirm by pressing the OK button (3s).

The selected power level is stored even if the power supply is interrupted. To change it, disconnect the appliance from the mains for at least 60 seconds, plug it back in, and repeat the steps.

If an error occurs ("EE" symbol and beep), repeat the operation. If the error persists, contact After-Sales Service.

Acoustic Signal On/Off

Sounds Produced During Operation

Induction hobs may whistle or creak during normal operation. These noises actually come from the cookware and are linked to the pan bottoms' characteristics (for example, when the bottoms are made from different layers of material or are irregular).

These noises may vary according to the type of cookware used and the amount of food it contains and not the symptom of something wrong.
