Thule Kit 187114 Installation Guide

This kit is designed exclusively for vehicles equipped with fixpoint mounting systems.

Important Information

• Maximum load capacity: 7 kg / 15.4 lbs
• System maximum load capacity: 75 kg / 165 lbs
• Maximum speed limit: 130 km/h (80 Mph)
• Recommended speed limit for roof box: 80 km/h (50 Mph)

Safety notes indicate the mounting positions on the vehicle: Front-Left (FL), Front-Right (FR), Rear-Left (RL), Rear-Right (RR).

• Part 283: x4 - Foot base components
• Part 002: x4 - Foot base adapters
• Part 54672: x4 - Securing straps
• Part 54674: x4 - Securing screws
• Part 54673: x1 - Torque wrench (or tool for tightening)
• Part 54659: x4 - Protective rubber pads

Installation Steps

1. Prepare the vehicle's roof mounting points. Use the provided cleaning wipe (B) to clean the area. Apply the protective rubber pad (C) to the designated mounting location on the vehicle roof.

   Use the adjustment tool (A) to prepare the foot base adapter (002).

2. Attach the foot base adapter (002) and the foot base (283) to the vehicle's fixpoints. Ensure correct positioning for Front-Left (FL), Front-Right (FR), Rear-Left (RL), and Rear-Right (RR).

3. Mount the roof bar onto the foot pack. Secure the roof bar to the foot pack using the provided straps and screws. Tighten screws to 8 Nm using the torque wrench.

4. Engage the locking mechanism on the foot pack. Listen for a "click" sound to confirm secure attachment.

5. Attach the protective cover to the foot pack. Tighten the cover screw to 4 Nm using the torque wrench. Ensure the cover locks securely with a "click".

6. Confirm all components are securely attached. The indicator should show a locked position (✔️).
