FUJIFILM Chrome OS Printing
16 September 2021 ver.2 The following models support printing from Chrome OS. Printer compatibility information will be updated accordingly. The latest supporting models are listed below. FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corp. will not support how to operate and set up on Chromebooks. Charge print feature is not able to function under Chrome OS environment. FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corp. shall not be held liable for defective printing and any other problems caused by printing from Chromebook. The following events may occur by printing from Chromebook: When the total printing number is odd during 2-side printing, the application may automatically insert a blank page as the last page depending on the OS setting. This is performed according to the specification of the application, and the printer counts the blank page as a sheet of printed page. This behavior cannot be avoided by configuring settings on the printer side. Black & White documents may be printed in Color (process black) documents depending on the application. Changing the print settings from "Color" to "Black & White" allows you to print documents in pure black. How to add printers using common Chrome OS is explained as follows: Please note that FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corp. cannot support these operations to setting up on Chrome OS. Problems that are likely to occur by printing from Chromebook
Print setting procedure
1. Open the setup menu from a menu bar at the bottom right of the screen.
2. Select "Advanced" from the menu on the left side of the settings.
3. Select "Printing" from "Advanced Settings", and then select "Printers" on the right side.
4. Selecting "Printers" displays a list of your networked printers (MFDs) under "Add Printer." Select "Save" or "Set up" on the right side of the printer you want to use. If it is not listed, go to Step 7.
5. If the printer (MFD) you selected supports Auto mode, it'll be registered to "Your saved printers", allowing you to select it from an application when printing. This completes the setting.
6. If it doesn't support Auto mode, go to Step 11.
7. If the printer (MFD) you want to use is not listed, select the icon on the right side of "Add Printer."
8. The screen to be added manually is displayed.
9. Enter the printer (MFD) name (arbitrary) and IP address, and then select Add.
10. If the printer (MFD) supports Auto mode, it'll be automatically registered to "Your saved printers", allowing you to select it from an application when printing. This completes the setting.
11. If the printer (MFD) doesn't support Auto mode, select a model from the list. If this is the case, install a PostScript option, as the printer (MFD) needs to support PostScript printing.
12. Select "Fuji Xerox" as a manufacturer.
13. Select the target printer (MFD) model from the list, and then select Add button.
14. The target printer (MFD) is registered to "Your saved printers", allowing you to select it from an application when printing. This completes the setting.
