Lamona LAM6703 / LAM6803 Tall Integrated Fridge Freezer Installation Guide
This manual provides instructions for the safe and correct installation of the Lamona LAM6703 Tall Integrated Larder Fridge and LAM6803 Tall Integrated Frost Free Freezer.
Important: Please read this Installation Manual carefully to ensure safe fitting and use of the appliance. The appliance should be fitted by a suitably competent and qualified person. Keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference.
Safety Information
- Two-person lift required. [lifting-symbol]

- If the electricity cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a competent person.

Installation Overview
Important Depth Requirement: Please use brackets with tabs to ensure the appliance install depth is 42mm. Use front feet adjustment to assist. If installed deeper than 42mm (at either side), the appliance door may not close fully, causing issues such as: the light will stay on, the alarm will sound (on frost-free models), or the appliance will not work correctly (e.g., not cooling, icing-up, water leaking).
- Establish power socket location (must be accessible after installation).
- Prepare cabinet: Remove rear panels, fit upper shelf, and install the plinth vent (refer to page 4).
- Fit and adjust decor doors (refer to page 4).
- Reverse appliance door if necessary (refer to page 11).
- Fit side seal trim to appliance (refer to page 5).
- Fit top trim to appliance (refer to page 5).
- Protect cabinet edges with masking tape (refer to page 6).
- Lift appliance into cabinet (refer to page 6).
- Remove appliance door. Level and align appliance using front adjustable feet and spacer brackets (refer to page 7).
- Fix spacer brackets to appliance and screw them to cabinet sides once in the correct position (refer to pages 8-9).
- Make final feet adjustments to align appliance to brackets and ensure correct spacing depths (refer to pages 8-9).
- Tighten appliance brackets to appliance (do not overtighten). Refit appliance door (refer to pages 8-9).
- Attach door sliders. Remove bracket spacer tabs (refer to page 10).
- Install cover caps and trims (refer to page 10).
Tools Required
- 2mm drill bit
- TORX25 and cross-head screwdriver
Do not use high-speed impact power tools. [warning-symbol]
Parts Supplied
Remove the parts bag from the appliance drawer. Please retain all parts; do not discard.
- BAG 1: Top trim x1
- BAG 2: Spacer bracket x2, Cover x4, Screw hole plug x4
- BAG 3: Bottom spacer bracket x1, Top spacer bracket x1, Screw hole cover x2
- BAG 4: Door slider x4
- BAG 5: LH Hinge cover x1, RH Hinge cover x1
- BAG 6: Side sealing strip x1
- Screws: A (3.5x13) x8, B (T25x18) x4, A (3.5x13) x2, B (T25x18) x2, C (3.9x13 FH) x2
Cabinet Preparation and Airflow
The cabinet will need modification before installing your appliance. Ensure the cabinet is secure, level, and true.
Preparation Steps:
- Remove rear panels.
- Attach feet.
- Fit and align doors.
- Fit upper shelf.
Airflow Requirements:
Good airflow around the appliance is essential for optimum performance and energy saving. Ventilation channels must be provided.
- Minimum 200 cm² ventilation area required.
- For 70:30 split decor doors, ensure a minimum depth of 55mm.
- For 50:50 split decor doors, ensure a minimum width of 560mm and a minimum depth of 200mm.
- A plinth vent must be fitted under the cabinet.
New door drilling may be required for certain decor door types. If reversing the door, refer to page 11.
Fitting Side Seal Trim
- Cut the side seal to length: 1710mm.
- Apply the seal 30mm from the top edge of the appliance, removing the backing tape as you progress.
Side sealing strip x1 (from BAG 6)
Fitting Top Trim
- Cut the indicated 3mm off each end of the top trim and chamfer inwards.
- Align the top trim to the non-hinge side of the appliance and fix.
Do not overtighten. [warning-symbol]
Inserting Appliance into Cabinet
- Protect cabinet areas with masking tape.
- Carefully lift the appliance.
- Place rear feet onto the cabinet base.
- Level and gently slide the appliance into position.
Ensure correct positioning relative to standard or decorative plinths.
Removing Appliance Door and Leveling
- Support the door. Remove the inner screw, rotate the top hinge upward, and then remove the door. (Be careful not to damage the door and fittings).
- WARNING: Support the door when removing the top hinge. [warning-symbol]
- Keep the plastic washer in a safe place.
- Position the appliance approximately 40mm back from the cabinet front edge. [measurement-symbol]
- Turn the adjustable feet so that the appliance stands vertically true in the cabinet and the top trim aligns with the upper fascia infill.
Securing the Appliance
Ensure the appliance is vertically true and level in the cabinet.
- Spacer brackets will set the appliance to the correct depth of 42mm. [measurement-symbol] Adjust feet and appliance to achieve correct alignment.
- Fit non-hinge side spacer brackets (top and bottom). Do not fully tighten. [warning-symbol]
- Fit hinge side spacer brackets (top and bottom). Do not fully tighten. [warning-symbol]
- Once spacing is correct at all four corners, fully secure brackets to cabinet sides. Carefully snap off or trim the distance spacing tabs. [warning-symbol]
Refitting Appliance Door
(Take care not to damage the appliance.)
- Remove the top hinge side spacer bracket and keep it in a safe place.
- Remove the inner screw from the top hinge.
- Rotate the hinge upwards.
- WARNING: Support the door when fitting the top hinge. [warning-symbol]
- Replace the plastic washer, then the appliance door. Refit the top hinge and spacer bracket.
Profile Kitchen - Bracket Modification
- Position the appliance 42mm from the front edge of the cabinet. [measurement-symbol]
- Drill the bracket so the screw fixing is angled into the cabinet.
Door Slider Fitting
When reversing doors, refer to page 11.
- Punch or pilot drill the pre-marked holes on the fridge/freezer door.
- Remove and fix the slider retainers to the opposite side of the doors.
- Align the slider with the decor door edge; the tab provides the correct 21mm offset. [measurement-symbol]
- Mark, pilot drill, and fix the slider to the decor door.
- Carefully snap off distance spacing tabs.
- Add cover trims (use a knife to trim or pre-score).
Note: If the refrigerator door does not close fully, a spacer will need to be placed behind the decor door slider to ensure correct closure.
Attaching Cover Trims and Hinge Covers
- Insert cover trims over screw holes (from BAG 2). Clip the centre in first, then the ends.
- Insert cover trims over screw holes (from BAG 3).
- Present hinge covers at a 45° angle, then rotate to fit over the appliance door hinges (from BAG 5).
Cover trims x4 (BAG 2), Cover trims x2 (BAG 3), Hinge covers RH x2, Hinge covers LH x2 (BAG 5).
Plinth Vent
Fit a plinth vent for good airflow. Refer to the Kitchen Installation Manual for specific fitting instructions.
Reversing Door Opening
(Also see page 10)
- Remove plastic cover caps and plug. (Do not remove the magnet from the top of the door).
- Remove the top hinge, the door, and the bottom hinge.
- WARNING: Support the door when removing hinge 1. Keep it in a safe place for future use. [warning-symbol]
- Fit the bottom hinge in the new position and place the plastic washer.
- Fit the door.
- Fit the top hinge in the new position.
- WARNING: Support the door when fitting the top hinge. [warning-symbol]
