IDANÄS Bed Frame Assembly Instructions

This document provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the IKEA IDANÄS bed frame. Please follow each step carefully to ensure correct assembly.

Assembly Steps

General Assembly Notes

Before starting, ensure you have all parts and tools. A Phillips head screwdriver is required [?️]. Two people may be needed for some steps [?]. If you encounter difficulties or are unsure about a step, please refer to customer support [?]. Avoid damaging parts during assembly [⚠️].

Step 1

Lay two long wooden side rails flat. Insert 8 screws (part 118331) into the pre-drilled holes on each rail to attach metal brackets.

Step 2

Insert 4 dowels (part 101345) into the designated holes on the side panels. Attach the slatted bed bases to the side panels using 8 screws (part 101359).

Step 3

Insert 10 dowels (part 101359) into the slatted bases and attach them to the side panels.

Step 4

Slide the tall headboard panel into the grooves of the side panels, indicated by a downward arrow [⬇️].

Step 5

Attach metal brackets (part 113434) to the headboard assembly.

Step 6

Attach the first side panel to the headboard assembly, indicated by a downward arrow [⬇️].

Step 7

Attach metal brackets (part 113434) to the side panel assembly.

Step 8

Attach the second side panel to the headboard assembly, indicated by a downward arrow [⬇️].

Step 9

Attach the slatted bases to the side panels using 8 screws (part 114671).

Step 10

Attach the footboard to the side panels using 4 cam locks (part 153552).

Step 11

Attach the side rails to the headboard and footboard assembly.

Step 12

Attach 4 metal support wheels/brackets (part 114670) to the underside of each side rail.

Step 13

Attach a metal bracket (part 100049) to the headboard.

Step 14

Attach a metal bracket (part 100049) to the other side of the headboard.

Step 15

Attach metal brackets (part 100049) to the footboard.

Step 16

Secure the bed frame by inserting 16 screws (part 105307) into the designated points.

Step 17

Attach metal brackets (part 139301) to the side rails using 2 screws (part 105307) for each bracket.

Step 18

Attach metal pieces (part 124402) to the ends of the side rails.

Step 19

Place the central support beam onto the bed frame.

Step 20

Secure the central support beam.

Step 21

Attach metal pieces (part 124401) to the central support beam.

Step 22

Secure the central support beam to the side rails using screws (part 117327).

Step 23

Attach metal pieces (part 124401) to the side rails.

Step 24

Secure the central support beam to the side rails using screws (part 117327).

Step 25

Place the slatted base components (parts 105163, 191315) onto the bed frame. Secure the slatted base components using screws (parts 105163, 191315).

Care and Cleaning

Wipe clean with a cloth damped in a mild cleaner. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
