Safety Precautions

This appliance is intended for use in household and similar applications, such as:

• kitchen areas, offices and other working environments;
• farmhouses;
• by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
• bed and breakfast type environments.

The appliance must not be immersed in water. The appliance shall only be used with the stand provided. Persons with reduced physical, sensory or intellectual capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, should not use this product without supervision or guidance. Never allow children to play with the kettle. Keep the product out of reach of children. Always unplug the kettle from the socket when it is empty, not in use, when adding or removing water, when cleaning it, or if any problem occurs. Do not use the kettle on an inclined or unstable surface, and keep it away from heat sources to prevent damage to its plastic parts. Do not place the kettle next to or on other electrical appliances. The kettle must be connected only to an earthed socket with a rated current of at least 10 A and a voltage of 220-240 V~. Do not connect the kettle to the same socket as other electrical appliances. If the power cord is damaged or frayed, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized service center to prevent safety hazards. Do not use the kettle with the lid open, while pouring water, or while adding water during its operation. If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may splash out. This kettle is intended only for heating water. Do not use it to heat other items such as seaweed, eggs, soy milk, tea leaves, milk, or noodles, otherwise the kettle may stop functioning properly. Do not add water above the maximum water level mark. Otherwise, hot water may overflow or splash, which may cause poor sealing of the kettle. When heating water, the water level in the kettle must be above the minimum water level mark to prevent overheating. When adding water, remove the kettle from the base and wipe off any excess water from the bottom of the kettle before returning it to the base. Do not place the kettle near heat sources such as stoves or cookers to prevent the risk of fire. To prevent the risk of fire, do not use a low-quality extension cord with this product. Do not immerse the kettle in water. Do not tilt, shake, move, or invert the kettle while it is in use. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, provided they are supervised or have been instructed on the safe use of the appliance and understand the associated hazards. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children younger than 8 years. Caution: Avoid spilling water on the connector. The heating element surface is exposed to residual heat after use. The electrical installation where the socket is located must undergo regular inspection according to applicable standards and laws in the given country, and must also be equipped with surge protection.

Note: Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or intellectual capabilities or persons with lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Note: When using the kettle for the first time, boil water three times and then empty the kettle each time before drinking. Caution: Do not move the kettle lid while the water is boiling in the kettle.

Usage

1. Press the lid opening button and wait for the water droplets from the inner side of the lid to drip off.
2. Manually open the lid to 65° and pour water into the kettle.

Caution: The water level must reach at least the minimum mark and must not exceed the maximum water level.

3. Close the lid completely and place the kettle body on the base.
4. Press the on/off button, the heating indicator will light up, and the kettle will start heating the water. After the water boils, the heating indicator will turn off, and the kettle will finish heating the water.

Caution: Do not open the lid while the water is heating in the kettle.

Cleaning and Maintenance

1. Add 0.5 L of white food-grade vinegar and let it sit for at least 1 hour.
2. After pouring out the white vinegar, wipe off any remaining deposits with a damp cloth.
3. Add water (above the minimum mark and below the maximum mark), boil it, pour it out, and then rinse the kettle 4-5 times with clean water.
4. Use a dry cloth to clean the exterior of the kettle. Store the kettle in a dry, well-ventilated place and protect it from dust, moisture, and insects.

Safety Precautions:

1. Before cleaning, make sure the kettle is unplugged and has cooled down.
2. Regularly remove limescale and deposits inside the kettle to prolong its lifespan.
3. If a large amount of limescale forms in the container, repeat the above steps. Do not use steel wool or any chemically aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning.
4. Do not immerse the kettle or its base in water and keep its exterior dry.

How to Obtain Warranty Service: To obtain warranty service, you must deliver the Product in its original packaging or packaging that provides an equal degree of protection to the address specified by Xiaomi. Except where prohibited by applicable law, Xiaomi may require you to present proof of purchase and/or to fulfill registration requirements before receiving warranty service. If Xiaomi specifies otherwise, this limited warranty only applies to products manufactured by or for Xiaomi and identified by the trademarks, trade name or logo "Xiaomi" or "Mi". The limited warranty does not apply to: (a) damage caused by natural forces or acts of God, such as lightning strikes, tornadoes, floods, fires, earthquakes, or other external causes; (b) negligence; (c) commercial use; (d) alterations or modifications to any part of the Product; (e) damage caused by use with non-Xiaomi products; (f) damage caused by accident, abuse, or misuse; (g) damage caused by operating the Product outside the permitted or intended uses described by Xiaomi or with incorrect voltage or power supply; or (h) damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not an authorized representative of Xiaomi. Limitation of Damages: Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, Xiaomi shall not be liable for any incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages whatsoever, including but not limited to lost profits, revenue, or data, damages resulting from breach of any express or implied warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory, even if Xiaomi has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
