Getting Started
Nissan Intelligent Key System
Allows locking/unlocking the vehicle and starting the engine. Keep the Intelligent Key with you. Operating range is within 31.5 in (80 cm) of request switches.
To lock: Push a door handle request switch (if equipped) or press the button on the key fob.
To unlock: Push a door handle request switch once for the corresponding door, or push again within 5 seconds for all doors. Alternatively, press the key fob button for the driver's door, then press again for all doors.
Panic Alarm: Press and hold the key fob button for over 1 second.
Intelligent Key Battery Discharge: If the key battery is low, touch the ignition switch with the key while depressing the brake pedal, then push the ignition switch within 10 seconds to start the engine.
Remote Engine Start (if equipped): Operating range is approximately 200 ft (60 m). Vehicle must be in P, ignition off, all doors closed/locked. To start: Lock doors, then press and hold the engine start button for at least 2 seconds. The engine runs for 10 minutes, extendable for another 10 minutes (max 20 minutes). To cancel, press the engine start button. To drive, depress brake and push ignition switch to ON.
Seat Adjustments (if so equipped)
Seat Slide: Push switch forward or backward.
Seatback Angle: Push switch forward or backward.
Seat Lifter (driver's seat): Adjust cushion angle/height by pushing front or rear end of switch up or down.
Power Lumbar Support (driver's seat): Adjust lumbar area by pushing front or back end of switch.
Rear Seats (if so equipped): To access under-seat storage, pull the bottom of the seat toward the rear to fold, then lift flat floor panels.
Flat Floor Feature (if so equipped): Fold seat bottom rearward, pull handle of smaller top panel rearward, then pull flat floor panels up and forward. Supports up to 247 lbs (112 kg) with bungee cords.
Memory Seats (if so equipped)
Stores up to two positions for the driver's seat, steering column, and outside mirrors. To set: Ensure shift lever is in P, ignition is ON or ACC. Adjust desired positions. Push the SET switch, then push memory switch (1 or 2) within 5 seconds. A chime will sound, and an indicator light will illuminate. Memorized positions can be linked to the Nissan Intelligent Key by pressing the key fob button after setting.
Mirror Control Switch (Electric Control Type) (if so equipped)
Located on the driver's side door panel. Rotate dial to select left or right mirror. Adjust mirrors by rotating dial up, down, left, or right.
Reverse Tilt-Down Feature: When the shift lever is in R (Reverse) with ignition ON and brake applied, mirrors tilt down for better rear visibility. They return to original position when shift lever is moved from R, control switch is centered, or ignition is OFF.
Power Folding Outside Mirrors: Push the switch to open or close mirrors.
HomeLink Universal Transceiver (if so equipped)
Consolidates up to three transmitters for garage doors, gates, etc. To program: Ignition ON or ACC. Position handheld transmitter 1-3 in (2-8 cm) from HomeLink surface. Press and hold desired HomeLink button and transmitter button simultaneously until HomeLink indicator light flashes rapidly. Release buttons. Verify programming by pressing HomeLink button; solid light means complete, blinking light requires additional steps. For additional steps, press the receiver's learn/smart button, then press and hold the programmed HomeLink button for 2 seconds. Repeat if necessary.
Compass (if so equipped)
Press the button for about 1 second (ignition ON) to toggle the compass display. Indicates direction (N, E, S, W). If display shows "C", refer to Owner's Manual.
E-Call (SOS) Button (if so equipped)
Requires NissanConnect Services subscription. Press the SOS button on the overhead console to call for emergency assistance.
Heater and Air Conditioner (automatic) (if so equipped)
ON/OFF Button: Press to activate or deactivate the system.
AUTO Button/Driver's Side Temperature Control Dial: Press AUTO for automatic control of temperature, airflow, and fan speed. Adjust driver's side temperature by turning the dial left (cooler) or right (warmer).
DUAL Button/Passenger's Side Temperature Control Dial: Press DUAL to allow independent passenger temperature control. Adjust passenger's side temperature by turning the dial left (cooler) or right (warmer).
Fan Speed: Press side or side of the button to adjust fan speed.
MODE Button: Manually control airflow distribution (center/side vents, center/side/foot vents, foot vents, front defroster/foot vents).
Defrosting/Defogging: Press the front defroster button. The A/C automatically engages. Set temperature and fan speed to maximum.
Rear Window and/or Outside Mirror Defroster: Push switch to turn on/off. System automatically turns off after approximately 15 minutes.
Fresh Air Intake Control: Press button to draw outside air into the cabin.
Air Recirculation: Press button to recirculate cabin air, useful for avoiding outside odors or improving temperature control. Press Fresh Air Intake button to turn off recirculation. Air recirculation cannot be activated in the front defroster mode.
A/C Button: Press to manually turn the A/C on or off.
Headlight Control Switch
Position : Turns on front parking, tail, license plate, and instrument panel lights.
Position : Turns on headlights.
Autolight System (if so equipped): Automatically turns headlights on when dark and off when light. Headlights remain on for a period after ignition is turned off and doors are closed. Activate by turning switch to AUTO and ignition to ON. Deactivate by turning switch to OFF, position, or position.
High Beam Assist: Activate by turning headlight switch to AUTO and pushing lever forward. Uses low beam below approx. 16 mph (25 km/h). Turn off by moving switch to position or lever to neutral. Flashing high beams: Pull and release lever.
Fog Light Switch (if so equipped): Headlights must be ON (AUTO or low beams). Push switch to turn fog lights on/off. They turn off if headlights are turned off.
Lane Change Signal: Move lever up or down until signal flashes but lever does not latch for a 3-flash signal.
Wiper and Washer Switch
Wipers: Rotate control ring: MIST (one sweep), AUTO (rain-sensing, adjustable sensitivity), LO (low speed), HI (high speed).
Washer: Press button on end of lever. Wipers operate several times.
Vehicle Information Display
Displays items such as vehicle settings, auxiliary gauges, fuel economy, trip computer, driving aids, cruise control, indicators, warnings, tire pressure, audio, and Traffic Sign Recognition.
Navigation: Use steering wheel buttons ([UP]/[DOWN], [LEFT]/[RIGHT], ENTER) to navigate menus and select items. Use [BACK] button to return to the previous screen.
Trip Computer Reset: Push TRIP SET to cycle ODO > Trip A > Trip B > ODO. Push TRIP RESET for 2 seconds to reset the currently displayed trip odometer.
Settings: Options include Driver Assistance, Vehicle Settings, Towing, Alerts, Maintenance, Unit, Language, and Factory Reset.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) with Easy-Fill Tire Alert
Low Tire Pressure Warning: A warning light and message illuminate when tire pressure is low. Current tire pressures are visible in the display above 16 mph (25 km/h). Adjust tire pressure to the recommended level shown on the driver's door opening label.
TPMS Malfunction: If the warning light flashes for approximately 1 minute and remains on, the TPMS is not functioning properly and requires dealer service.
Easy-Fill Tire Alert: Provides visual and audible signals when adding air to an under-inflated tire. Procedure: Shift to P, apply parking brake, ignition ON (engine off). Add air; hazard lights will flash. The horn will beep once and flashers will stop when the correct tire pressure is reached. Repeat for other tires.
Loose Fuel Cap
A warning message appears in the vehicle information display if the fuel-filler cap is not tightened correctly. Tighten by turning clockwise until a click is heard. The Malfunction Indicator Light may also illuminate.
Starting/Stopping the Engine
Ensure the Nissan Intelligent Key is with you. To start: Depress the brake pedal, then push the ignition switch to the ON position. To stop: Move the shift lever to the P (Park) position, then push the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Fuel-Filler Door
Located on the driver's side. Pull the lid open.
Driver and Passenger Seat Belt Warning
The warning light illuminates after the ignition switch is placed in the ON position or until the seat belt is fastened. This is normal operation.
Wide Open Door (King Cab models only)
Caution: Do not open the driver's side Wide Open Door to its fully open position while the fuel-filler door is open. Open only as far as the first detent to prevent damage.
Opening the Tailgate
Pull the tailgate handle upward and lower the tailgate. Support cables hold the tailgate open.
Power Outlets
12V Outlets: Powered when ignition is ACC or ON. Used for accessories like cellular phones. Located on the passenger's side of the control panel, inside the center console, and on the rear console.
120V Outlets (if so equipped): Require ignition ON and the power inverter switch pressed. 400W mode is only available with the shift lever in P (Park). Outlets in the 2nd row, behind the center console, and in the truck box are battery powered. For devices requiring over 120V, the shift lever must be in P.
Audio, Navigation and Bluetooth Systems
Clock Set/Adjustment
Press the MENU button, touch Settings, then touch "Clock". Touch the key to return to the previous screen.
USB Connection Ports and iPod Interface
USB ports are located on the control panel below the climate controls. Connect compatible USB memory devices or iPods to play audio files through the vehicle's audio system.
Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System
System Operating Tips: Press the button on the steering wheel to interrupt voice prompts and speak commands after the tone. Speak commands naturally. Reduce background noise by closing windows and directing vents away from the ceiling. Cancel a session by pressing and holding the button or pressing the BACK button. Adjust volume using steering wheel controls or the VOL control knob.
Connecting Procedure: Go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth > Add New. Touch "Yes" to connect a cellular phone.
Vehicle Phonebook: Press the button, then touch "Phonebook".
Making a Call: Press the button. Select "Quick Dial", "Phonebook", "Call History", or "Dial Number".
Receiving/Ending a Call: Accept by pressing the button or touching Answer. End or reject by pressing and holding the button or touching Decline.
Switch to Handset: Touch "Use Handset" on the screen.
FM/AM/SiriusXM Radio with CD Player (if so equipped)
Controls: PUSH POWER BUTTON / VOL CONTROL DIAL, TUNE/SCROLL / ENTER/SETTING DIAL, SEEK BUTTONS.
Station Select Keys: Store up to 12 FM, 6 AM, or 18 SiriusXM stations. Select radio band, tune to station, then press and hold desired station select key.
Apple CarPlay
Connect a compatible iPhone to the USB port. Touch "OK" then "Yes" to use Apple CarPlay. The home screen appears, allowing operation of iPhone functions via the in-vehicle system. Access Siri by pressing and holding the button on the steering wheel or touching the key on the screen. Nissan Phone menu and voice commands are unavailable when CarPlay is active.
Android AutoTM
Download the Android Auto app from Google Play. Connect your compatible Android phone via USB. Touch "OK" to use Android Auto. The home screen appears, allowing operation of phone functions via the in-vehicle system. Access Google Assistant by pressing and holding the button on the steering wheel, touching the key on the screen, or saying "OK Google". Nissan Phone menu and voice commands are unavailable when Android Auto is active.
Navigation System (if so equipped)
Calculates routes and provides turn-by-turn guidance. Some functions are restricted above 5 mph (8 km/h). Controls include MAP button, brightness button, VOL knob, zoom keys, TUNE/SCROLL knob, BACK button, and touch-screen display.
NissanConnect Services Powered by SiriusXM (if so equipped)
Offers security and convenience services like Emergency SOS calling, Automatic Collision Notification, and Wi-Fi. Enroll via www.NissanUSA.com/connect. Some services include Automatic Collision Notification, Emergency Call (press SOS button), and Wi-Fi Hotspot.
SiriusXM Travel Link and SiriusXM Traffic (if so equipped)
Provides real-time weather, fuel prices, movie listings, sports scores, stock quotes (Travel Link) and traffic incident information (Traffic) displayed on the Navigation System.
Wi-Fi
Connect to a Wi-Fi network for map updates or online searches. To connect: Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi. Touch the device name, enter password, and touch OK. To change settings or delete a device, navigate through the Wi-Fi menu.
Hands-Free Text Messaging Assistant*
Allows sending and receiving text messages using predefined or custom messages via the vehicle's interface. Text messages can be read aloud. Some phones require enabling "Notifications" in Bluetooth settings for text messages to appear. Text message integration requires Message Access Profile (MAP) support.
Siri Eyes Free
If you have a compatible iPhone, press and hold the button on the steering wheel for more than 1.5 seconds to activate Siri in Eyes Free mode.
Rear Seat Infotainment (RSI) System
Plays DVD videos, video CDs, or CDs. Images display on monitors, sound plays through the audio system or headphones. To operate: Ignition ACC or ON. Press power button on monitor control panel. Insert DVD (label facing rear). Use remote or control panel buttons to select source and play. Eject DVD by pressing button on monitor or using remote. Turn off by pressing power button on monitor or remote.
Monitor A/B: Priority for inputs: HDMI, USB, disc player. HDMI overrides others. Use remote or monitor control panel buttons. Press AUDIO button on radio to listen via speakers. Use provided wireless headphones or connect your own wired headphones.
Driving Features
Blind Spot Warning (BSW) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
BSW: Alerts the driver when another vehicle enters the detection zone, indicated by a light on the outside mirrors. The indicator in the vehicle information display shows system operation.
RCTA: Alerts the driver of approaching vehicles when backing out of a parking space. Operates when shift lever is in R and vehicle speed is below approx. 5 mph (8 km/h). Radar sensors detect vehicles up to 66 ft (20 m).
To turn ON/OFF: Navigate to Settings > Driver Assistance > Blind Spot > Warning (BSW).
Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control (if so equipped)
Hill Start Assist: Applies brakes automatically for 2 seconds after brake pedal release when stopped on a hill, allowing time to apply accelerator. Operates when shift lever is in a forward or reverse gear and vehicle is stopped on a hill.
Hill Descent Control: Helps control vehicle speed on steep descents by applying brakes. Activate by pushing the Hill Descent Control switch. Vehicle must be in 4H or 4LO, shift lever in forward/reverse gear, and speed at or below 15 mph (25 km/h).
Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) (if so equipped)
Vehicle-to-Vehicle Distance Control: Push ON/OFF switch. Accelerate to desired speed. Push COAST/SET switch and release to set speed. Push switch repeatedly to change set distance (long, middle, short).
To reset at faster speed: Push and hold ACCEL/RES switch. To reset at slower speed: Push and hold COAST/SET switch. To cancel: Tap brake pedal or push CANCEL switch. To turn off: Push ON/OFF switch.
Cruise Control (if so equipped)
Maintains a constant cruising speed above 25 mph (40 km/h). To activate: Push ON/OFF switch. White indicator light illuminates. To set speed: Accelerate to desired speed, push COAST/SET switch and release. Green indicator light illuminates. To reset at faster speed: Push and hold ACCEL/RES switch. To reset at slower speed: Push and hold COAST/SET switch. To cancel: Tap brake pedal or push CANCEL switch. To turn off: Push ON/OFF switch.
Intelligent Around View Monitor (I-AVM) (if so equipped)
Activated by pressing the CAMERA button or shifting to R (Reverse). Displays various views of the vehicle's position.
Views: Front view & bird's-eye view, Front view & front-side view, Rear view & bird's-eye view, Rear view & front-side view, Rear wide view.
Guide Lines: Colored lines indicate vehicle width and approximate distances (Red: 1.5 ft, Yellow: 3 ft, Green: 7 ft, Green: 10 ft).
Limitations: System may not detect objects below the bumper, on the ground, or tall objects near camera seams. Distances on screen may differ from actual distances.
Moving Object Detection (MOD) (if so equipped): Alerts driver to moving objects around the vehicle. Operates at speeds of approx. 5 mph (8 km/h) or less. A yellow frame appears on camera image when moving objects are detected. MOD icon indicates system status (Blue: active, Gray: not active, No icon: off).
Towing
Trailer Brake Controller Unit (TBCU) (if so equipped): Assists with effective trailer braking. Operating Modes: Automatic (adjusts trailer brake pressure based on gain/boost) and Manual (manually applies trailer brake pressure). Gain: Controls trailer braking force. Boost: Changes trailer brake feel when vehicle brake pedal is pressed. Manual Application: Pinch manual control levers together.
Trailer Light Checking (if so equipped): Aim Intelligent Key at vehicle. Press and release button, then press again and hold within 2 seconds until horn beeps once and parking lights turn on. Sequence: Left turn lights flash (5 sec), Right turn lights flash (5 sec), Brake lights turn on (5 sec).
Gooseneck Hitch (if so equipped): Located in the center of the vehicle bed. Refer to Owner's Manual for installation and towing information.
