Keyboard Layout
The keyboard features a standard 75% layout. Key areas and functions are indicated by numbered callouts:
- 1️⃣ Type-C: Refers to the USB Type-C port for wired connection.
- 2️⃣ USB, 2.4G, BT: Indicates the connectivity modes available: Wired (USB), 2.4GHz Wireless, and Bluetooth.
- 3️⃣ TFT Display: The integrated screen for displaying information.
- 4️⃣ Knob Function: A rotary knob for specific functions, detailed later.
The layout includes standard keys like Esc, F1-F12, alphanumeric keys, modifiers (Shift, Ctrl, Win, Alt), navigation keys (Arrow keys, PgUp, PgDn, End, Del, Home), and a Backspace key.
Multimedia Function Keys
Access multimedia and system functions using the 'Fn' key in combination with other keys:
- Fn + F1: Screen Brightness Decrease
- Fn + F2: Screen Brightness Increase
- Fn + F3: Windows Task View
- Fn + F4: Open File Explorer
- Fn + F5: LED Brightness Decrease
- Fn + F6: LED Brightness Increase
- Fn + F7: Reverse (Lighting effect)
- Fn + F8: Play / Pause
- Fn + F9: Forward

Connectivity Modes
The Spectre 75 supports three connectivity modes:
- Wired Mode: Connect using the included USB Type-C cable.
- 2.4 GHz Mode: Use the wireless USB dongle for a low-latency connection.
- BT Mode: Connect via Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless convenience.
Pairing Instructions:
Wired Mode:
- Move the switch to the "Wired Mode" position.
- Use the included USB cable to connect your keyboard to the device.
Wireless Mode (2.4 GHz):
- Move the switch to the "2.4 GHz Mode" position.
- Insert the Dongle into one of your device's USB port.
- The keyboard should pair automatically.
Wireless Mode (BT):
- Move the switch to the "BT Mode" position.
- Press "Fn" + (1, 2, or 3) to switch between connected BT devices. You should see "BT 1/2/3 Linking" on the LCD screen.
- Press and Hold "Fn" + (1, 2, or 3) to start pairing your keyboard. You should see "BT 1/2/3 Pairing" on the LCD screen.
LCD Functions
The integrated TFT display provides various information and status indicators:
LCD Icons:
- 1. System (Default Win): Indicates the operating system mode (Windows or Mac).
- 2. Connections: Shows the active connection status (BT1, BT2, BT3, or wireless icon).
- 3. Windows Lock ?: Indicates if the Windows key is locked.
- 4. Caps Lock ?️: Indicates if Caps Lock is active.
- 5. Number Lock ?: Indicates if Number Lock is active.
Battery Status:
- 6. Battery Level ?: Displays the current battery percentage.
- 7. Charging ⚡: Indicates when the keyboard is charging.
Knob Functions
The rotary knob offers dual-mode operation:
To swap between LCD & Volume mode: Press "Fn" + Knob.
LCD Mode:
- Rotate Left / Right: Navigate LCD Menu.
- Press down: Confirm selection.
Volume Mode:
- Rotate: Control system volume.
- Press down: Mute / Unmute ?.
CPU/GPU Usage & Temperature Display:
To activate this function, open the keyboard software and let it load. The display should start working in a few seconds, showing CPU and GPU usage and temperature.
Note: The software must be running for this function to work. You may close the software window to minimize it to your system tray.

Software Guide
The following sections guide you on how to use the TECWARE software for customization.

Create and edit your custom key profiles here.
- Selecting the Profile to edit: Click on the desired profile. You can also Add, Delete, Rename, Import, or Export profiles.
- Selecting the Layer to edit (Left-click):
- Option 1: Top Layer: The base layer of the keyboard.
- Option 2: FN Layer: Keys registered by pressing the combination of Fn + Key.
Changing the Functions of Individual Keys:
Simple key register: Left-click the key on the keyboard image, then click the desired function on the panel. Right-click for more options (Default key, Disable key, or Custom Function).
Fn Layer Options (Left-click):
- Option 1: FN Normal (Default): Fn Layer keys are registered by pressing Fn + Key.
- Option 2: FN Toggle: Press Fn once to switch to FN mode; subsequent key presses register FN functions. Press Fn again to toggle back to Normal mode.
Note: Keys 1, 2, 3, and 4 (number row) are reserved for switching between Bluetooth devices and cannot have their Fn Layer functions edited.

Keyboard Input | Select to insert keyboard input. Type key in the textbox below and press insert. |

Repeat Count | Indicate how many times the macro repeats when activated. |
Start Recording | Press to start recording macro. Press again to stop. This tool records keyboard functions only. |
Action Record List | Fine-tune your macro by shifting or deleting inputs. Select input and press corresponding buttons (Delete, Shift Up, Shift Down). |
Creating a macro:
- Select New.
- Edit your macro. Insert or record macro inputs, and fine-tune in the Action Record List.
- Select Save.
Assigning a macro:

TFT Screen ?️
Create and edit your custom GIFs for the TFT screen. Recommended Size: 240 x 135 pixels.

Uploading a GIF:
- Select Import, choose your GIF file, and click Open.
- Select 'Upload to keyboard' to save and apply the GIF.
Creating a new custom GIF:
- Select New.
- Press '+' on the new frame, select images for your GIF (multiple selection allowed), and click Open.
- Edit each frame to your liking.
- Select 'Upload to keyboard' to save and apply the GIF.

Installation
Plug your TECWARE SPECTRE 75 into the USB port of your PC. No driver installation is required for this product; the operating system should auto-detect the keyboard when you plug it into your computer.

Spare Mechanical Switch Kit
There might be occasions where a mechanical switch might fail. Please refer to the TECWARE website at www.tecware.co for instructions on how to easily replace the faulty switch on your keyboard.
