Notes on Use
The Pizza Festa Gourmet combines three functions: pizza oven, raclette, and griddle.
- Pizza Function: Ensure the dough is not too thick, as rising dough could touch the heating element. Baking time varies based on dough type, toppings, number of pizzas, and ambient conditions. The terracotta dome helps maintain the pizza's temperature.
- Preparation Time:
- Italian crust (thin): 5-7 minutes
- American crust (thick): > 7 minutes
How to Use
Using the Pizza Oven
- Place the grill plate onto the brackets, ensuring the cutout aligns with the heating rods.
- Place the terracotta dome on the base.
- Plug in the power cord. The power indicator light will turn on.
- Preheat the appliance for approximately 30 minutes.
- Cut prepared dough using the dough cutter.
- Place the dough on a pizza paddle, add your chosen ingredients.
- Insert the pizza paddle with the dough into the opening of the terracotta dome and place it on the grill plate.
- Remove the pizza once the dough is lightly browned and toppings are cooked.
- Repeat steps 5-7 for additional pizzas.
Using the Baking Surface (Raclette/Griddle)
- Preheat the appliance for approximately 30 minutes.
- Grease the griddle and raclette pans with a little oil.
- Do not use metal utensils to avoid damaging the non-stick coating.
- When cooking food on the griddle, turn it regularly. Small pieces of meat/fish cook faster than large ones.
- Remove any food bits left behind immediately to prevent sticking.
- Never place frozen food directly on the grill plate, as the heat shock could damage it.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for it to cool down completely.
- Never immerse the electrical device in water or any other liquid.
- Do not use harsh, abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or steel wool on any part of the device. Use a damp cloth instead.
- Clean the pizza paddles and raclette pans in warm, soapy water after each use.
Terracotta Dome and Base Care
- The terracotta dome must cool completely before contact with water, or it may crack.
- Clean the dome and base with a damp cloth only.
- Wipe the exterior of the baking surface and raclette pans with a slightly moistened cloth or paper towel, ensuring no moisture, oil, or grease remains.
- The terracotta dome should not soak up water; it can air dry.
- Only use the appliance again once the dome is completely dry.
