1. Power On Your Keyboard
Locate the power switch on the right side of the Logitech K580 keyboard and slide it to the "ON" position. A small indicator light may illuminate.
2. Access the USB Receiver and Battery Compartment
Gently lift the top panel of the keyboard, located above the function keys. Inside, you will find the USB receiver and the battery compartment for AAA batteries (indicated by "AAA+"). Ensure batteries are correctly inserted if not already present.
3. Connect via USB Receiver
- Remove the USB receiver from its storage slot within the keyboard.
- Insert the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer (e.g., laptop).
- The keyboard should automatically connect to your computer. A checkmark symbol (✓) indicates a successful connection.
4. Connect via Bluetooth (Easy-Switch)
The Logitech K580 keyboard features Easy-Switch technology, allowing seamless switching between up to two connected Bluetooth devices, such as a laptop and a smartphone.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device (e.g., laptop or smartphone).
- On the K580 keyboard, press and hold one of the Easy-Switch keys (labeled '1' or '2' with a device icon) for approximately 3 seconds. The indicator light above the key will blink rapidly, indicating pairing mode.
- On your device, open Bluetooth settings and look for "K580" in the list of available devices.
- Select "K580" to complete the pairing process. Once connected, the indicator light on the keyboard will turn solid for a few seconds.
- To switch between paired devices, simply press the corresponding Easy-Switch key ('1' or '2') once.
