⚠️ CAUTION: This symbol alerts the user to important instructions. Failure to follow these instructions may result in risks to the user or damage to the product.

Installation Procedure

General Steps:

  1. Follow all procedures described below.
  2. Taramps is exempt from any responsibility if procedures are not followed by qualified professionals.
  3. Completely insulate all system connections to avoid electrical contact with the vehicle chassis.
  4. Accessories and peripherals (e.g., CD/DVD Players, equalizers, crossovers, or other 12-volt equipment) should be disconnected from the vehicle's original connections. These will be powered by an auxiliary battery bank designed for the system's needs.
  5. Safety circuit breakers must be installed in a visible and easily accessible location for operation and maintenance.
  6. Energy accumulators (12.6VDC batteries) must be insulated after installation to prevent accidents, electric shock, arcs, and vehicle damage (fire).
  7. All connections must be made with all circuit breakers turned OFF.

Turning On the Amplifier:

  1. Check that the system is not shorted or in contact with the vehicle chassis.
  2. Ensure the negative points of the high voltage battery bank and the 12.6 VDC battery negative point are connected together.
  3. Connect the respective loudspeakers to the amplifier's output.
  4. Verify that your batteries are properly charged.
  5. Keep the volume control (Level) at minimum.
  6. Activate the remote to turn on the pre-amplifier.
  7. After checking the pre-amplifier, disconnect the remote, activate the circuit breakers, and then turn on the remote again.
  8. Set all volume settings, frequency cuts, and enjoy your new amplifier.

Caring for Your Sound System:

  1. After using the sound system, turn off all circuit breakers.
  2. Never move the vehicle with the safety circuit breakers engaged.
  3. Do not connect the battery charger while the sound system is in operation.
  4. Do not use any charger other than the specified one.
  5. Do not start the vehicle engine while the sound system is in operation.
  6. Engine starting (ignition) is only permitted when all safety circuit breakers are turned OFF.

Observation: Failure to comply with any of the above procedures fully exempts Taramps from any responsibility regarding the risks of use. To enjoy this high-technology, high-quality, and powerful amplifier, follow all safety procedures step-by-step, as non-compliance may void the warranty.

For further clarification, contact the Technical Department. All electrical and electronic equipment installation must be performed by qualified and trained professionals.

Important Notes:

? The sale, purchase, or installation of this product by individuals under 21 years of age is forbidden.

⚠️ This product is powered by HIGH VOLTAGE. Risk of electric shock. Danger of Death. Exercise maximum care to avoid personal injury during installation or operation.

Interconnections

To operate at 12.6 Volts, one or more batteries are required to supply the pre-amplifier and other equipment (Head Unit, crossover, equalizers, amplifiers, etc.), as shown in the scheme.

Wiring Diagram Description: The diagram illustrates the connection of the vehicle's original battery and alternator, auxiliary batteries, circuit breakers, the amplifier, and loudspeakers. It emphasizes the use of appropriate cable gauges (e.g., 21mm² for output cables up to 2m) and mandatory circuit breakers (e.g., 130A for the main power supply).

Safety Warnings for Interconnections:

Charging the Battery Bank

Serial Connection - 24 Batteries of 12.6VDC

For the battery bank in series to be fully charged, it is recommended to use individual sources for each battery. The diagram shows an example using a 15A Taramps source.

Mandatory Installations:

The 15A battery charger is not included with the HV 160.000 amplifier.
