Installation Instructions
Installing Bracket for G2P to Helmet
- With Clip Mounting Bracket: Open the clip mounting bracket and insert it into the helmet shell.
- With 3M Tape Mounting Bracket: Tear off the protective paper from the 3M tape, stick the mounting bracket to the left side of the helmet, and press for 15 seconds. Allow 24 hours for the glue to dry.
Note: Lexin recommends using the clip mounting bracket for convenience, but the 3M tape bracket is an option for users to utilize at their own risk.
Mounting the G2P Main Unit
Align the square columns on the back of the G2P main unit with the square holes on the mounting bracket. Slide the main unit down onto the bracket until it clicks firmly into place.
Remove the G2P Main Unit
Ensure the headset jack is not connected. Push the main unit towards the upper left firmly until it slides out of the bracket.
Installing Speakers
Note: The speaker with the shorter wire is for the left ear, and the speaker with the longer wire is for the right ear. This configuration also enhances FM radio reception.
Step 1: Peel off the speaker 3M tape and stick it into the helmet's inner padding.
Step 2: Push the speakers firmly against the velcro pads. Use the provided spacers if the helmet has deep ear pockets to bring the speakers closer.
Step 3: Hide the wires between the helmet liner and shell.
Note: Extra speaker pads are provided for helmets with deep speaker pockets to ensure the speakers are closer to the ears.
Installing Microphone
Note: The button microphone and boom microphone are interchangeable for full-face or open-face helmets, based on user preference and fit.
Full-face Helmet/Button Microphone
- Locate an area in the center of the helmet's mouth section and adhere half of the microphone velcro pad.
- Attach the button microphone to the velcro pad.
- Connect it to the headphone connector from the left.
Open Face Helmet/Boom Microphone
- Adhere one half of the velcro pad to the base of the microphone and the other half to the inside of the helmet underpadding.
- Adjust the microphone's direction so the triangular mark points towards your mouth.
- Use the boom microphone holder for additional support if necessary.
Replace the Pattern Shell
- Remove the old pattern shell from the unit by gently prying it up from the left side gap.
- Align a new pattern shell with the main unit and press until it fits perfectly.
