Pairing Your Yeti

Step 1: Selecting Connection Type

Choose between:

  • Anywhere connect: Control from anywhere in the world, control multiple Yetis on one device, apply Yeti feature updates. Requires an internet connection.
  • Direct connect: Control Yeti while off-grid, no nearby internet-connected Wi-Fi network required. Mobile device must remain within 50 ft. Can only pair with 1 Yeti at a time. Yeti feature updates are unavailable.

Tap 'DIRECT' or 'ANYWHERE' to select your connection type.

Step 2: Turning On Your Yeti's WiFi / Bluetooth

Press the Wireless button under the lid (the top of the two buttons) to activate WiFi/Bluetooth for pairing. If the WiFi icon does not blink, press and hold the Wireless button for 3 seconds to switch to Pairing mode.

Note: The LCD configuration described applies to Yeti 1500X, Yeti 3000X, and Yeti 6000X models. Your Yeti's LCD may differ.

The WiFi icon on the Yeti LCD indicates WiFi connectivity. The Bluetooth icon indicates Bluetooth connectivity, which is supported for firmware version v0.8.1 and newer. To check your firmware version, press and hold the UNITS + LIGHTS buttons for 3 seconds on the Yeti, or find it under Device Information in the app.
