Cleaning the Lid and Lever
Insert a screwdriver into the pinhole on the left of the lever. Push against the flat end of the pin to remove it and disconnect the lever from the lid. Carefully place the pin aside.
Grasp the lever and pull it out.
Push the bottom of the cork up and out of the spout.
Clean the cork using water and dishwashing liquid. Insert a bottle brush or cloth into the spout to clean the inside. Dry thoroughly.
Fully insert the cork into the spout with the cork opening facing forward.
Hold the lever with the handle facing forward. Insert the latch at the bottom of the lever into the cork opening.
Align the pinholes in the lever with the pinholes in the lid.
Hold the crown end of the pin, insert the flat end of the pin into the pinhole on the right side of the lever, and push the pin through.
Note: The gasket can be removed for cleaning. Insert a thin and flat utensil to ease the gasket out. When placing the gasket back, the smooth side should face the lever.
