Safety Information
Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate, or install the product. Failure to do so could lead to electrical shock, fire, or other fatal injuries.
DANGER
- Do not connect this fixture to an electrical system that does not provide equipment grounding. Never use a fixture in a two-wire system without grounding. Improper grounding can cause serious injury or death.
- Do not connect the bare or green fixture ground wire to the black (HOT) wire or the white neutral house wire. Connecting the ground wire to these wires could cause serious injury or death.
- Do not damage or cut wire insulation during installation. Do not let wires contact sharp edges, as this could cause serious injury or death.
WARNING
- To avoid personal injury, gloves may be necessary when handling fixture parts with sharp edges.
- All electrical connections must comply with local codes, the National Electric Code (NEC), and ANSI/NFPA 70-1999. Contact your municipal building department for local codes, permits, and inspections.
- Risk of fire: Dwellings built before 1985 may have supply wires rated for 140°F (60°C). Consult a qualified electrician before installation.
- Do not suspend any fixture by the house wires. Fixtures must be mounted directly to an outlet box or a mounting plate attached to the outlet box. Suspending by house wires could cause the fixture to fall, leading to injury, shock, or fire.
- To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or personal injury, wire connectors are designed for one 12-gauge house wire and two fixture lead wires. If your house wire is larger than 12-gauge or there are multiple house wires, consult an electrician.
- Modifications not approved by the party responsible for compliance may void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
CAUTION
- Turn off electricity at the circuit breaker box before beginning installation.
- If you are unsure if the lighting system has a grounding means, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualified, licensed electrician for proper grounding methods.
- All fixtures must be mounted to an outlet box supported by the building structure.
- If using a dimmer control switch, consult a professional to determine the correct type and electrical rating.
- Total wattage for this fixture is 7 watts. Do not tamper with or attempt to repair the LED component.
- Note: Dimmable to 10% with select dimmers. See Lowes.com for more information.
FCC Compliance: This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
