How to Bind with Alexa

Connect iPower to Alexa

This guide explains how to link your iPower account with Amazon Alexa to enable voice control for your iPower smart devices.

Follow these steps to integrate your iPower devices with Alexa:

  1. From the iPower app, navigate to the 'Me' section and select 'Alexa'.

You will see options to link with Alexa or Google. Choose 'Alexa'.

Description of the visual: The screen shows the iPower app interface with 'Third-Party Voice Services' prominently displayed. Options for 'Alexa' and 'Google' are visible, with 'Alexa' highlighted. Below this, there are menu items like 'Home Manage', 'Message Center', 'Version Update', 'FAQ & Feedback', and 'Delegate & Privacy'. An illustration shows the Amazon Alexa logo and icons representing voice, sound, and light, with text explaining that binding your app account to your Amazon account allows control of Alexa-enabled devices through Amazon Echo speakers.

Action: Tap 'Sign In With Amazon' to proceed.

  2. You will be directed to the Amazon Account Linking page.

Description of the visual: The screen displays 'ACCOUNT LINKING' with the iPower and Amazon Alexa logos. The text reads 'Link iPower with Alexa' and explains that enabling the iPower skill links your account with Alexa. It also notes that you can unlink your account at any time by disabling the skill in the Alexa app. Buttons for 'CANCEL' and 'LINK' are shown.

    Action: Press the 'LINK' button.

  3. After successful linking, you will see a confirmation page.

Description of the visual: The screen shows 'Already linked with Amazon Alexa'. It provides examples of voice commands such as 'Alexa, turn on light', 'Alexa, set air conditioning to 20°C', 'Alexa, turn off diffuser', and 'Alexa, increase air conditioner by 3 degrees'. A 'Back' button is present, and a note indicates that if you need to unlink, you should go to the Alexa App to disable the iPower skill.

Note: If you wish to switch to a different Alexa account, press 'Re-Login' at the top right of the screen.

  4. Open the Alexa app on your mobile device.

Action: Navigate to 'Skills & Games' and search for 'iPower'. Enable the iPower skill.

Description of the visual: The Alexa app interface is shown, with tabs for 'Discover Alexa', 'Skills & Games', 'Things to Try', and 'Your Skills'. The 'Your Skills' tab is active, showing 'iPower' as an enabled skill. Example voice commands are displayed: “Alexa, turn on the fan”.
