CaddyTek CaddyLite 11.5 V3 Installation Guide
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the Caddy Wheel accessory onto your CaddyTek CaddyLite 11.5 V3 golf push cart.
Step 1: Prepare the Bracket Attachment
Insert the bar and align the threaded hole with the hole in the plastic bracket. Slide the bar until it lines up with the hole of the plastic handle. The bracket is designed to attach to the metal arm of the cart.
Action: Align the bar with the bracket and plastic handle hole.
Step 2: Secure the Bracket
Thread in the screw and tighten it using the provided allen key. Fit the bracket between the two metal arms of the cart as shown in the diagrams. Ensure that the part of the bracket butts up against the nut for a secure fit.
Action: Tighten the screw with the allen key and ensure the bracket is correctly positioned against the nut.
Step 3: Install Zip Ties
Starting from the inside top corner, insert the first zip tie. Then, start the second zip tie from the opposite corner. Weave the zip tie through the front and then back down the other side, ensuring it goes all the way around the bracket and the cart's frame.
Action: Insert and weave zip ties around the bracket and frame.
Step 4: Tighten Zip Ties
Insert the zip tie through the small slot of the red tensioner. Tighten using only the two longer arms of the tensioner. Once tightened, snip off the excess zip tie material using the shorter arm of the tensioner. Repeat this process with the other zip tie. Ensure all zip ties are tightened securely.
Action: Use the tensioner to tighten zip ties and snip off excess material.
Step 5: Position the "U" Channel Bracket
The "U" Channel acts as a hard stop to prevent the bracket from sliding up during use. It should be placed above the bracket as shown. Use additional zip ties in this area if necessary for securing.
Action: Position the "U" Channel bracket above the main bracket.
Step 6: Secure the Velcro Strap
The zip tie holding the Velcro strap goes around the main post. Leave this zip tie slightly loose to allow the Caddie Wheel to follow the contour of the ground. Ensure this strap is positioned above the cup holder.
Action: Attach and loosely secure the Velcro strap around the main post, above the cup holder.
Step 7: Attach the Caddie Wheel
To unclip the Caddie Wheel mechanism, pinch firmly the two protruding arms of the rubber clip. Drop the Caddie Wheel between the two brackets and slide the bar to the left. Be careful when dropping the wheel to ensure the right rubber clip does not get caught underneath.
Action: Unclip the mechanism, position the Caddie Wheel, and slide the bar.
Step 8: Lock the Caddie Wheel
To lock the Caddie Wheel in place, press firmly on the lower arm of the rubber clip. Ensure it is locked in securely; you should hear two distinct clicks. Feed the Velcro strap through the designated slot.
Action: Lock the wheel by pressing the clip and feed the Velcro strap.
Step 9: Final Adjustments and Use
Loop the Velcro strap back up. It is important to leave the strap slightly loose to allow the Caddie Wheel to adapt to uneven ground. Confirm that the Velcro strap has some slack. To begin moving the Caddie Wheel, use the side button or give your cart a gentle push if you prefer not to bend down.
Action: Adjust the Velcro strap for flexibility and initiate movement using the button or a push.
