This document provides essential safety information and operating instructions for the Braun Cleaning Station, Type 5430.
Important Safety Information
General Warnings
- Always use the provided Braun power supply (Type D-492-C).
- Do not alter or tamper with any part of the appliance or power supply.
- Keep the appliance and power supply dry.
- Do not use if the appliance or power supply is damaged.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or instructed on safe use and understand the hazards.
- Children must not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless supervised.
Important Notes on Usage
- Ensure the cleaning station is placed on a flat, stable surface to prevent cleaning fluid leakage.
- Do not tilt, move suddenly, or transport the cleaning station with a cartridge installed, as fluid may spill.
- Do not place the station in mirror cabinets, or on polished or lacquered surfaces.
- The cleaning cartridge contains a highly flammable liquid; keep away from ignition sources.
- Avoid direct sunlight, cigarette smoke, and storage near radiators.
- Prevent cleaning fluid from entering eyes.
- Do not refill the cartridge; use only original Braun refill cartridges.
- The shaver must be dry and free from foam, gel, or soap residue before use.
- The cleaning cartridge contains ethanol or isopropanol which evaporates slowly after opening.
- Replace cartridges approximately every 8 weeks if not used daily for optimal cleaning.
- Dispose of used cartridges according to local hazardous waste regulations.
- Close openings with the new cartridge lid, as the used cartridge contains contaminated fluid.
- Use the appliance only for its intended purpose.
- The product contains batteries and/or recyclable electric waste. Dispose of responsibly at designated collection points.

- 6. Cleaning cartridge (CCR): Contains the cleaning solution.
