Lutron Sunnata Accessory Switch Installation Guide

Important Safety Information

Key Installation Notes:

• Install in accordance with all national and local electrical codes.
• If no "grounding means" exists in the wallbox, the NEC allows installation with a plastic faceplate and fasteners, or if the circuit is GFCI protected. Lutron wallplates meet this requirement. Cap or remove the green wire if no ground is present.
• Protect the control from dust and dirt during painting or spackling.
• Clean the accessory switch with a soft, damp cloth only. Do not use chemical cleaners. Visit www.lutron.com/cleaning for details.
• For indoor use only.
• For 3-way/4-way circuits, use only one Sunnata LED+ dimmer (STCL-153M) with up to 9 accessory switches.
• Maximum wire length between the main control and the farthest accessory switch is 150 ft (45 m).

Wiring Instructions

Before disconnecting existing devices, tag the wire connected to the different colored screw (typically black and labeled COM). This is the Common wire.

3-Way Wiring

This configuration involves two control locations for a single light or group of lights.

Diagram Description: Illustrates connections for Line (120V~, 60Hz), Common, Red, and Blue wires, plus a Ground wire. The Common wire (typically black) must be identified and tagged. The Blue wire is consistently connected between the accessory switch and the main dimmer location. The diagram shows one wire path from the breaker and another to the light(s).

4-Way Wiring

This configuration involves three or more control locations for a single light or group of lights.

Diagram Description: Shows wiring across three locations. Locations 1 and 3 have a 'Common (tagged)' wire. All locations are connected to Line (120V~, 60Hz), Red, Blue, and Ground wires. The Blue wire is consistently connected between all accessory switch locations and the main dimmer location.

Operation

Control your lighting with the Sunnata Accessory Switch:

• If lights are OFF: Single tap the top button for the preset level (default 100%). Double tap for full brightness.
• If lights are ON: Single tap the top button for full brightness.
• To turn OFF: Single tap the bottom button.
• For delayed fade-to-off: Press and hold the bottom button for 1 second.
