2. Connection to the Water Mains

The water input pipe is located inside the drum.

  1. Connect the bent end of the pipe to the screw entrance of the electrically operated valve at the back of the machine.
  2. Connect the other end of the tube to the water supply. Tighten the connection nut securely.

Drainage Recommendation: A fixed drainage exit should be located between 50 and 70 cm from the floor. Ensure the drainage pipe is not too tight and has no folds or bottlenecks.

[Diagram: Shows a washing machine with a drainage hose connected, indicating minimum (50 cm) and maximum (70 cm) height for the exit point.]

It is important that the elbow of the pipe is properly fixed at the exit to prevent flooding.

If your machine has a hot water input, connect the tube with the red threading to the hot water tap and to the electrically operated valve with the red filter.

3. Levelling

Level the washing machine using the adjustable feet. This reduces noise and prevents movement during operation.

[Image: A hand adjusting the leveling foot of a washing machine.]

4. Electrical Connection

Consult the characteristics panel on the porthole door before making connections. Ensure the available voltage matches the panel's indication. The machine must be properly earthed.

Do not remove the characteristics panel; it contains important information.

The electrical fittings, socket, plug, fuses, and meter must be scaled for the maximum power indicated. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized service centre with the same reference number.

5. Panelling

You can change the coating panels to match your kitchen furniture. Panels should not be thicker than 5 mm.

  1. Loosen the screws of the hinges and dismantle the door.
  2. Remove the lower protection frame by loosening screws. Extract the original panel.

[Image: A hand loosening hinge screws on a washing machine door.]

If the new panel is 3 mm or thicker, you may not need the original panel. If it's less than 3 mm, place it over the original panel.

To reassemble, repeat steps a, b, c.

Adjusting Door Height and Changing Door Opening Direction:

It is possible to adjust the height of the decorative door and change the direction it opens.

  1. Loosen hinge screws and dismantle the door.
  2. Remove the lower protection frame and extract the original panel.
  3. The lower part of the door and frame are divided into 7x10 mm sections. Adapt the decorative panel to your needs.
  4. Replace the decorative panel and lower protection frame, then reassemble the door.

How to Use the Machine: Practical Tips

1. Preparing the Laundry Before a Wash

Before loading, ensure all pockets are empty. Small objects can obstruct the motor pump.

Sort laundry by:

  • Material/Makeup: Use delicate programs for delicate garments. Woollens can be washed in a special wool program.

[Image: A pair of black trousers with pockets visible, and a hand holding a set of keys.]

Empty pockets and check for small items.

Please ensure woollen garments are machine washable before using the wool program.

  • Soiling Level:
    • Lightly soiled: Use a short, cold program.
    • Normally soiled: Use a program without pre-wash.
    • Heavily soiled: Use a long program with pre-wash.
  • Colours: Wash whites and coloureds separately.

IMPORTANT: Load the machine at maximum capacity to save water and energy. Washing garments of different sizes together can improve washing effects and drum distribution, leading to quieter operation.

2. Use of Detergent and Additives

Introduce detergent or additives into the detergent drawer before starting the program. The drawer has three compartments:

  • Pre-wash Compartment
  • Wash Compartment
  • Liquid Additive Compartment (softeners, etc.)

[Image: A Fagor washing machine control panel and a close-up of the detergent drawer with three compartments.]

The liquid level should never exceed the MAX reference mark.

Liquid detergents can be used with an optional drawer (available from Technical Support).

Detergent Dose depends on:

  • Amount of laundry
  • How soiled the laundry is
  • Water hardness (obtain information from local entities)
? ECOLOGICAL NOTE: Use concentrated detergents that are environmentally friendly. Using excess detergent does not improve results, wastes money, and harms the environment. Follow detergent manufacturer's instructions.

3. Selecting the Wash Programme

There are four types of programs: Normal, Delicate, Wool, and Auxiliary.

To select a program:

  1. Turn ON the machine (press the program selector).
  2. Select the wash program by turning the Program Selector Dial.

The corresponding spin speed light will illuminate. If your machine has a display, it will show the program number (e.g., P01) and approximate duration.

[Image: A Fagor washing machine control panel showing a program selector dial and display.]

[Image: A close-up of the program selector dial being turned.]

? ECOLOGICAL NOTE: Choose the most suitable program to avoid pre-wash whenever possible. This saves money and helps preserve the environment.

4. Selecting Additional Functions

Choose additional functions after selecting the wash program. Selecting a new program cancels previous options.

Options:

  • Spin Speed Selection: Adjust spin revolutions, eliminate spin, or select 'flot/antiarrugas' (stops at last rinse with water left in drum) or 'No spin' (avoids creases for special materials).

[Image: A Fagor washing machine control panel highlighting the spin speed selection button and options like 'No spin' and 'Flot/no creases'.]

  • Extra Rinse: Increases final rinse, recommended for large loads or sensitive skin. Increases water consumption.
  • Reduced Time: Shortens program duration (up to one-third). New time appears on display if available.
  • Easy Iron: Reduces creases with special spins to separate clothes after spinning, easing ironing.

[Image: Close-up of washing machine control buttons showing 'Easy Iron', 'Extra Rinse', and 'Reduced Time' icons.]

  • Selecting Delay: (Requires display) Set a delay for the start of the program in hours. Press or hold the button until the desired delay is shown.
  • Annulling the Delay: Press repeatedly or hold the button until 24 hours, then press once more to annul.

[Image: A washing machine display showing '120' minutes, indicating a delay or remaining time.]

If you change the program or turn the machine off while options are selected, they will be annulled.

Lock Function

Activates a child protection lock and prevents accidental changes.

To Activate: Hold down 'Extra Rinse' and 'Easy Iron' buttons for at least 3 seconds. The on/off light will flash.

To Deactivate: Hold down 'Extra Rinse' and 'Easy Iron' for at least 3 seconds. The light will go off. Turning the machine off does not deactivate the lock.

5. Commissioning

Press the on/off button to start the selected program. The display will show remaining time if available.

Switching on the Delay: Press the on/off button after selecting program, options, and delay time. The display will flash during the delay period.

[Image: A Fagor washing machine control panel with the On/Off button illuminated.]

To add or remove laundry, select pause. Ensure water level is not high and temperature is not excessive. Pressing ON resumes the cycle.

Stages in Wash Programme

Active phases appear as the program progresses. Options can be selected as long as the phase allows and has not ended. Pressing the delay button during wash has no effect.

[Image: A diagram showing the stages of a wash program: Pre-wash, Wash, Rinse, End.]

Changing programs while the machine is working will enter PAUSE mode and annul the program. Pressing On/Off during wash also enters PAUSE mode.

6. Power Cuts

If a power cut occurs, the machine will resume its cycle normally from where it stopped once power is restored, thanks to its hour memory.

7. Tips

  • Reduce Noise: Level the machine using adjustable feet.
  • Wash Different Sizes: Mixing sizes improves drum distribution and reduces noise during spin.
  • Spin Safety System: Prevents spin if laundry distribution is too concentrated, avoiding excessive vibration.

[Image: A close-up of oak leaves.]

? ECOLOGICAL NOTE: Your washing machine adapts to load and material type for optimal water and energy use. The low water level visible may seem unusual but ensures efficient washing and rinsing.

If laundry is not fully rinsed, try spinning again after redistributing clothes evenly.

Maintaining and Cleaning the Machine

Before any cleaning or maintenance, disconnect the washing machine from the electricity mains.

Leave the porthole door open after each wash to allow air circulation.

Consider using a decalcifying product periodically, depending on water hardness, to prolong the machine's life.

1. Cleaning the Detergent Drawer

Clean the drawer when residues are noticed.

  1. Fully extract the drawer by pulling out the flap.
  2. Clean compartments with warm water and a brush.
  3. Clean the siphons in the additive drawer.

Replace the drawer.

[Image: A hand pulling out a washing machine detergent drawer.]

[Image: A close-up of a clean detergent drawer compartment.]

2. Cleaning the Accessible Filter

Clean the filter when the drainage pump is blocked by foreign bodies.

  1. Loosen the base by gently pulling on the sides and turning downwards. Undo fasteners. If access is difficult, use a small screwdriver in the upper slots to lever and loosen hooks.
  2. Place a container under the filter to catch released water.
  3. Turn the filter sideways (quarter to half-way) to the left. Water will start to come out.
  4. Once water is drained, turn the filter several times until fully removable.
  5. Remove any objects or fluff from the filter.
  6. Replace the filter and base.

[Image: A hand using a screwdriver to loosen the base of the filter compartment.]

[Image: A container placed under the filter to catch water.]

[Image: A hand turning the filter to release water.]

[Image: A hand removing the filter.]

Do not perform this operation if the wash water temperature is over 30°C to avoid burns.

3. Cleaning the Outside of the Machine

Use warm soapy water or a soft, non-abrasive cleaner. Dry with a soft cloth.

Safety and Troubleshooting

Do not open the machine under any circumstances. Internal components are not user-replaceable.

Why doesn't the washing machine start working?

Possible causes:

  • No voltage in mains.
  • Blown fuses.
  • Machine not connected to mains.
  • On/off button not pressed (light should be on).
  • Program selector dial not engaged.
  • Door not closed properly (displays may show 'pre-wash'/'end' flashing and F04 error). Check and close door.

Why does the washing machine vibrate or make too much noise?

Possible causes:

  • Internal fastening screws were not removed.
  • Machine is not level.

Why doesn't the washing machine fill with water?

Fault: Wash and Rinse displays flash, or F01 error on display.

Possible causes: Water supply interruption, tap closed, or water input filter blocked.

Action: Wait for water supply, open tap, or clean input filter.

Why doesn't the washing machine drain or spin?

Fault: Rinse and End displays flash, or F02 error on display.

Possible causes: Obstruction in drain pump, drainage piping, or incorrect electrical connection.

Action: Follow steps in Section 2 (Maintaining and cleaning the machine) for drain pump obstruction.

Why doesn't the washing machine spin the clothes?

Fault: Pre-wash and Wash displays flash, or F03 error on display.

Cause: Laundry not evenly distributed in the drum, causing excessive vibration.

Solution: Return to the spin stage.

Is it better to put the detergent in the drawer or directly in the drum?

Detergent tablets used directly in the drum are common and effective. However, some powders/liquids contain aggressive components that can damage clothes. It is recommended to use the drawer.

Why can't I see water in the drum?

The machine adapts water levels for efficiency and environmental preservation. Low visible water is normal and ensures efficient washing.

Why is water coming out of the drawer?

The drawer or dispenser may need cleaning. Refer to Section 1 (Cleaning the detergent drawer).

Why can't I open the porthole door immediately after the wash ends?

A safety system prevents opening until the drum has completely stopped. Wait approximately 2 minutes.

Other faults

The machine can detect other faults (F05-F10). These may have diverse causes.

Solution: Call the OFFICIAL TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICE.
