Future-proof and wonderfully quiet: The new heat pump generation from Bosch
March 2023
Introduction to the New Heat Pump Generation
Bosch has introduced its new Compress 5800i AW and Compress 6800i AW air/water heat pumps, developed with input from PHC professionals. These systems aim to elevate environmentally friendly heat supply, offering future-proof, fully electric, and exceptionally quiet operation suitable for various applications.
The Compress 5800i AW and Compress 6800i AW utilize the natural refrigerant R290 (propane). Propane is recognized for being a natural raw material that is not subject to the F-Gas Regulation and possesses a lower global warming potential compared to fluorinated hydrocarbons. This choice ensures a sustainable and future-proof heat supply, with R290 also being widely available and highly efficient.
Wonderfully Quiet: Consistently Thought-Out Sound Design
The new heat pumps have undergone comprehensive sound optimization. Featuring integrated sound diffusers, they are positioned among the quietest heat pumps in their class, maintaining a low sound level in both day and night modes. This makes them suitable for installation in densely populated areas, such as terraced housing estates, without causing disturbance.
The range offers five output ratings to meet diverse needs. The Compress 5800i AW is designed for new buildings, providing reliable heat supply with maximum flow temperatures of up to 60 degrees Celsius. The Compress 6800i AW is capable of delivering flow temperatures up to 75 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for heating refurbished single and multi-family homes. For systems with radiators designed for flow temperatures up to 55 degrees Celsius, the heat pump can operate efficiently even at lower outdoor temperatures without the need for a heating rod.
Flexible, Quick, and Space-Saving Installation
The compact outdoor units and their extensive accessory range allow for flexible placement. Bosch provides various plug-and-play hydraulic solutions for every application. The space-saving all-in-one tower variant, the Compress 5800i AW M, includes an integrated 180-litre domestic hot water storage tank and a 16-litre buffer storage tank, requiring a footprint of only 0.36 m². This variant is ideal for new buildings. The wall-mounted version, with a height of 71 cm, is also flexible and quick to install, benefiting from an integrated 3-way switching valve for domestic hot water generation.
The plug-and-play Compress 6800i AW MB buffer tower variant offers optional up to two heating circuits and an integrated 70-litre buffer storage tank, with a reduced overall height of 1.2 m, making it suitable for flexible and easy installation in both new and refurbished buildings.
PHC professionals benefit from easy accessibility to all hydraulic components, which are conveniently located behind the devices' removable front panel, simplifying maintenance and repair.
Easily Connected
The Connect Key K 30 RF enables PHC professionals to connect the heat pumps to the internet. Included with the Compress 5800i AW, this key facilitates remote monitoring and maintenance through applications like HomeCom Pro. The heat pumps are managed via the integrated UI800 user interface, allowing users to adjust settings through the intuitive colour touch display or the HomeCom Easy app.
Side-by-Side to the Electrified Home
The Vent 5000 C central ventilation system complements the heat pump in new buildings, creating a cohesive solution both visually and technically through the common UI800 control system. When combined with Bosch's Energy Manager, this setup achieves high efficiency. Integration with components like photovoltaic systems, ventilation systems, and EV charging stations results in a fully electrified home where the Energy Manager intelligently controls power flows. Utilizing self-generated electricity promotes grid independence and climate-friendly energy management.
