FAQs
The sound seems too loud?
There is a sound at the start of operation/during operation/when the unit stops. This is the sound of compressor operation or refrigerant (coolant) circulation. E - 29
The water does not accumulate in the tank. Is the unit dehumidifying?
When the temperature is high, or when the temperature or humidity is low, air flow mode will operate, and the unit will not dehumidify. The water will not be collected in the tank during this time. E - 28
Will the room get warm?
When using functions such as laundry drying or dehumidifying, warm air will be coming out from the front air outlet, and when used in an enclosed room, the room temperature will go up.
I would like to continuously operate the unit in dehumidifying mode. Is continuous drainage possible?
Continuous drainage is possible by using a commercially available hose (inner diameter 15mm). E - 11, 21
The CURRENT HUMIDITY display seems wrong?
The CURRENT HUMIDITY display is only for reference. (The value will not necessarily be the same with other devices.) When the humidity suddenly changes immediately after the laundry drying mode starts, the display might be different from the actual humidity. When the humidity is 31% or lower, the display will show [Lo]; and 91% or above will show [Hi].
The air flow seems to get stronger on its own?
Even if the laundry drying, dehumidifying or air purifying (Auto) operation is set, the air flow will increase automatically during the following situations: When the room temperature is 30°C or above...in order to lower the internal temperature. When the room temperature is 15°C or lower...(Air flow only) in order to prevent frost forming inside. When the "odor sensor" detects dirt in the room air...in order to remove dirt in the room air.
Why is there odor coming out from the air outlet?
If the unit is used where there is strong odor of smoking or barbecue for a long time, the odor might adhere to the filter. Sometimes, it is necessary to replace the filter. E - 22~23
When the unit has been used for a long time, odor and dirt might adhere to the inside. Please regularly clean the unit and dry its inside. E - 22

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

DEHUMIDIFICATION MECHANISM

It is found that dew is formed on the surface of a cup holding cold water in the midsummer and water drop is attached to window glass of a room with heat supply. This occurs when warm air with much moisture gets contact with cold items. In accordance with the principle, wet air is used in a cooling machine to remove moisture.

4 Dry air
3

Cooling machine Condenser

1 Damp air
2
Tank

1 Damp air comes in from the air inlet. 2 Vapor contained in air is cooled and becomes water drops,
which flow into the water tank. 3 Air that has been cooled by the cooling machine is heated. 4 Dry air comes out from the air outlet.
It has no refrigeration capability, which is different from an air conditioner. As heat is generated in operation, the room temperature might increase by 2°C-5°C, depending on the ambient conditions (external temperature, room area, etc.).
Humidity might not be kept at 55-60%, depending on the ambient conditions.

ABOUT DEHUMIDIFICATION

In the following cases, the compressor will stop and will not dehumidify. The unit will switch to the air flow mode. When the room temperature is lower than 3°C or higher than 38°C

The main unit will be overloaded. Therefore, the protection device will activate and laundry drying and

from 3°C to 38°C

5

0

To prevent dehumidifying water from freezing, the protection device will activate and laundry drying and

dehumidifying operation will be stopped.

At the time of re-operation
To protect the unit, the compressor will not operate for about 3 minutes immediately after the unit is started in the following cases:
Immediately after the power plug is inserted Immediately after laundry drying/dehumidifying operation is stopped

Air flow operation for about 3 minutes

At the time of defrosting
When the room temperature falls below 15°C, the unit will automatically start defrosting (Air flow mode) in order to prevent frost from forming inside the main unit.
Once every 45 minutes, the compressor will stop and "HIGH" air flow mode will operate (for about 12 minutes). The lower the room temperature, the longer the compressor stop time.

E - 10

AUTO OFF FUNCTION (LAUNDRY DRYING (HIGH/MED/LOW)/DEHUMIDIFYING)
The operation will stop automatically after 12 hours in case the unit has been forgotten to be turned off. (A long beep will sound when the operation stops and the OFF TIMER "6" indicator light will blink)

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

FILTER
The air purifying function collects dust and smell composition in the whole room. When the product is used where there is strong smell of aromatic, aroma oil, cigarette or barbecue, the smell will adhere to the filter. It takes several weeks or several months for the smell to be volatilized. It is recommended to use the product together with ventilation of the room where there is strong smell. It takes more time to remove smell than dust.

If smell comes from the air outlet or it is hard to remove smell, please perform maintenance on both HEPA filter and Active Carbon Deodorizing filter.

INTERNAL DRYING
After laundry drying or dehumidifying operation, water drops may adhere to the cooler inside the main unit. Such water drops may cause mold and odor.

We recommend periodical cleaning for a long, clean and sanitary use! Diligent maintenance is also necessary for releasing of steady and high concentration Plasmacluster ions.

HEPA Filter

It catches pollen, allergens (faeces and dead bodies of mite), mold, dirt, dust, cigarette smoke (particles) and pet hair.

It may change color (gray, ocher) due to collecting fine dust or dirt in the room. This is not a malfunction. Proper maintenance will lengthen service life of the HEPA filter.

Gently clean the side with a tag
Gently vacuum

Never wash it with water.
(Otherwise, the performance of filter may be degraded)

Tag
Put the product on a piece of newspaper to avoid contaminating its surrounding area.

Clean the side with a tag only. Never clean its opposite side.
Remove the dirt on the filter surface. As the filter may be damaged easily, do not apply too much
force.

Active Carbon Deodorizing Filter

Absorbs and decomposes various room odors, including cigarette smoke (odor), toilet odor, kitchen waste odor and pet odor.

As the Active Carbon Deodorizing filter absorbs a large quantity of smell composition, it gives out smell sometimes. Proper maintenance will lengthen service life of the filter.

Gently vacuum

Never wash it with water or dry it in the sun.
(Otherwise, the performance of filter may be degraded)

Put the product on a piece of newspaper to avoid contaminating its surrounding area.

Both sides can be cleaned. The filter may be damaged easily if too much force is
applied on it, so be careful when handling it. Remove dirt from the filter where odor adheres.

It cannot remove all harmful composition (e.g.carbon monoxide in cigarette) or smell

NOTE

composition that continually volatilizes (e.g.construction material smell, and pet odor).

operation and dehumidifying operation, and if used in an enclosed

room, the room temperature will go up.

The unit does not dehumidify Dehumidification amount is low (Water does not accumulate in the tank)
The water leaks
The humidity level does not go down Laundry does not dry

The dehumidification level varies with the size, structure, temperature and humidity level of the room. When room temperature or humidity level is low, the dehumidification level will be low in general.
Low humidity of less than 50% cannot be maintained.
Air flow mode will operate during auto dehumidifying operation when the room temperature or humidity level is low, and the unit will not dehumidify.
When the room temperature is below 3°C, air flow mode will operate to prevent the water tank's water from freezing, and the unit will not dehumidify.
When the room temperature is higher than 38°C, the protection device will activate, the air flow mode will operate, and the unit will not dehumidify. Additionally, if the humidity is high humidity, the protection device will work even when the room temperature is below 38°C.
When the room temperature is 15°C or under, the unit automatically defrosts by switching to air flow mode which makes water harder to collect.
Check to see if the unit runs in deodorizing operation. Switch to laundry drying and dehumidifying operation.
Check to see if the rear panel is clean. Clean the rear panel.
Check to see if the air outlet or air inlet is blocked. Remove whatever blocks the port.

Whipping, howling sound...This is the sound of refrigerant (coolant) circulation. E - 3

The sound is too loud

The unit will sound loudly for the first few seconds upon power-on when the room temperature is low. (This duration will vary with the temperature.)
Check to see if the dehumidifier is properly placed on the floor or if the floor is unstable. Use the unit at a level, stable place with free of vibration.
Check to see if the rear panel is clogged. Clean the rear panel.

E - 3 E - 13 E - 24

Buzzing sounds are heard from the air outlet

This is the sound of generating Plasmacluster ions, not a

malfunction. Sound volume varies with the working environment and

operation mode, but the efficiency is not affected.

Odors or smokes are hard to remove

Check to see if the filters are enclosed in a plastic bag. Take out the filters from the plastic bag.
Check to see if the wind from the air outlet is weak. Clean the dust and dirt off the following parts: Rear panel Sensor Filters

E - 12 E - 22~25

Odor comes out from the air outlet

Check to see if the unit is used in a room with a strong odor. If the unit is used where there is a strong odor caused by smoking or barbecue, the filter may give off odors in several weeks or months and thus needs to be replaced. It is recommended to use the product together with ventilation of the room.
When the unit has been used for a long time, odor and dirt may adhere to the inside. Please regularly clean the unit and dry its inside.
Check to see if the dirt on the filters becomes heavy. Clean the filters, or replace them if you are bothered.
When Plasmacluster ions are generated, a trace of ozone will be generated, which gives off an odor from the air outlet. However, its quantity is tiny and the health will not be harmed.

ODOR Indicator Light does not change its color

Solution

Reference Page

After the operation starts, ODOR Indicator Light does not change its color for the time being due to unsteady sensitivity of the sensor. After a few minutes, sensitivity of the sensor becomes steady.

If ODOR Indicator Light remains green, the air is fresh. It is hard for the sensor to detect in some places. It is normal if ODOR Indicator Light changes its color when cigarette smoke is blown to the sensor.

If the operation is started in a room with a strong odor, sensitivity of the odor sensor may become blunt. Please continue the air purifying operation (MED) for several hours or 1 day.
