The rear panel of the DCPA723W features various input and output connectors. Key connections include:

Fuse Note: The unit uses one 15 amp ATC mini style fuse located on the power connector. Ensure correct type and amperage when replacing.
Installation
Before You Start:
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Consult a qualified technician for instructions.
- Avoid installing the unit where it would be subject to high temperatures (e.g., direct sunlight) or dust, dirt, or excessive vibration.
Installation Guide Diagram Description: The diagram shows the unit being installed into a vehicle dashboard. It illustrates the placement of a trim ring and mounting screws (M5.0x8.0 mm) used to secure the unit.
Control Locations
The radio display features the following functions and displays:
- 1 Power: [Power button]
- 2 Mute: [Mute button]
- 3 Volume Up/Down: [Volume control]
- Push Voice Activation: [Voice command button]
- 4 Reset: [Reset button]
The screen displays the time (e.g., 11:59), status icons, and application icons for Phone ?, Music ?, Maps ?️, Messages ✉️, and Now Playing ▶️. Brand logos like Dual are also visible.
Main Menu
From the main menu, press the desired icon to enter the corresponding mode: AM/FM/Bluetooth Phone ?, Bluetooth Audio ?, Apple CarPlay ?, Android Auto ?, USB ?, Camera ?, EQ ?️, AV In, or Settings ⚙️.
The main menu screen shows icons for these functions, along with the date and time.
Tuner Operation
The tuner screen displays the current frequency (e.g., 87.5 MHz) and station information. Controls include:
- 1 Main Menu: Returns to the main menu.
- 2 Dimmer: Adjusts screen brightness.
- 3 Local/Distance (LOC/DX): Selects between local and distant radio signals.
- 4 Seek Tune Up: [Seek up button]
- 5 Seek Tune Down: [Seek down button]
- 6 Preset Stations AM/FM: Accesses saved radio stations.
- 7 EQ: Adjusts audio equalization settings.
- 8 Settings: Accesses system settings.
The screen also shows preset station frequencies (e.g., 90.1, 98.1, 106.1, 107.9).
USB Operation
From the main menu, touch the USB ? icon. The USB operation screen displays track information, playback controls, and file management options.
- 1 Main Menu: Returns to the main menu.
- 2 Current Mode Indicator: Shows the current playback mode.
- 3 Repeat: Controls track repeat function.
- 4 Random: Controls random playback.
- 5 List: Displays the list of files.
- 6 ID3 Tag Display Area: Shows track title, artist, and album.
- 7 Track Down: [Previous track button]
- 8 Play/Pause: [Play/Pause button]
- 9 Track Up: [Next track button]
- 10 Folder: Navigates through folders.
- 11 Album Art: Displays album artwork.
Audio Operation
In the Settings ⚙️ menu, select from three icons to adjust audio settings:
- Balance, Fader, and Time Alignment Settings.
- EQ Presets and 10-Band EQ Settings.
- Surround Settings.
Screenshots show interfaces for adjusting balance/fader, equalizer bands, and surround sound modes (e.g., Concert, Wide, Church, Live, Passive, None).
Screen Operation
Press the Monitor icon in the Settings ⚙️ menu to access screen settings:
- Brightness, Contrast.
- Button Illumination Colors.
- Wallpaper Settings.

General Operation
Press the Function icon in the Settings ⚙️ menu to access radio settings such as Time Zone, Date & Time, Daylight Saving Time, Beep Tone, Power Off Delay, Factory Default, and Right Hand Drive options.
Wired & Wireless CarPlay Operation
Wired Connection:
- Connect an Apple CarPlay compatible device via USB.
- Press the Apple CarPlay ? icon on the main menu.
- The Apple CarPlay home screen will appear.
Wireless Connection:
- Ensure Bluetooth/Wi-Fi is enabled on your phone.
- Press the [Wi-Fi icon] ? on the main menu.
- Confirm to use wireless CarPlay.
- Press the [Search icon] ? to search for devices.
- Find your desired device on the list and press "Pair".
- A pass key will be displayed; ensure it matches on your iPhone. Press "Pair" and then "Allow" for popups.
- Press the [Connect icon] ✔️ on the screen to confirm connection.
- Press "Use CarPlay" on the iPhone. The unit will configure and start the application.
Wired & Wireless Android Auto™ Operation
Wired Connection:
- Connect an Android Auto™ compatible device via USB.
- Press the Android Auto ? icon on the main menu.
- The Android Auto home screen will appear.
Wireless Connection:
- Ensure Bluetooth/Wi-Fi is enabled on your Android device.
- Press the [Wi-Fi icon] ? on the main menu.
- Confirm to use wireless Android Auto.
- Press the [Search icon] ? to search for devices.
- Find your desired device on the list and press "Pair".
- A pass key will be displayed; ensure it matches on your Android device. Press "Pair" and then "Allow" for popups.
- Press the [Connect icon] ✔️ on the screen to confirm connection.
- The unit will configure and start the application.
Bluetooth Operation
Pairing a New Device: The unit broadcasts a pairing signal when no devices are connected. Complete the pairing sequence from your Bluetooth device. The device name is "DCPA723W".
Connect: The head unit automatically connects to the last connected device if Auto Connect is On. If Auto Connect is Off, manual connection is required.
Bluetooth Phone ?: From the main menu, touch the Bluetooth icon. A Bluetooth icon appears when a device is connected.
Dialing a Number: Press [Keypad icon] ? to display the keypad and dial.
Making and Ending a Call: Press [Call icon] ? to connect a call, and press [End call icon] ☎️ to end a call.
Transferring Audio: Press [Transfer icon] ? to transfer audio between the head unit and mobile phone.
Streaming Audio:
- Press [Play/Pause icon] ▶️ to play or pause music.
- Press [Previous track icon] ⏪ to skip to the previous track.
- Press [Next track icon] ⏩ to advance to the next track.
Rear Camera
The Rear Camera screen displays "No Signal Output" if the camera is not properly connected or powered. Ensure cable connections are correct and the camera is powered on. Options for Front Camera and Rear Camera are shown.
Limited Two Year* Warranty
Dual Electronics Corp. warrants this product to the original purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship for two years from the date of purchase. This warranty covers defects but excludes software, installation/removal costs, damage from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, modification, improper installation, incorrect voltage, unauthorized repair, or damage during return shipment. For service, pack the product securely with a copy of the original receipt and ship it via prepaid transportation to an authorized service center. Include your name, return UPS shipping address, and daytime phone number.
