Product Part Names
Paper Cover: The lid that opens to load media.

Installation and Charging
Battery Installation
1. Insert the battery pack into the printer, aligning the battery hook properly.
2. Push the battery into the slot until it clicks into place.
Note: The battery is partially charged upon purchase. Charge it fully before first use.
Media Installation
1. Press the 'Open' button to open the media cover.
2. Spread the media holder wide and insert the media, ensuring correct orientation. Remove the empty media core.
3. Pull out the media slightly and close the media cover.
Battery Charging
1. Turn off the printer.
2. Connect the power cord to the AC/DC adapter, then connect to AC power.
3. Open the external interface cap.
4. Connect the AC/DC adapter to the power port.
Use only the BIXOLON-provided AC/DC adapter to prevent potential damage.
Belt Strap Installation
1. Insert the belt strap screw into the belt strap hole.
2. Use a coin to tighten the screw securely.
Control Panel Usage
Power Button: Used to turn the printer on/off, navigate to the main menu, or execute actions. Press and hold for approximately 2 seconds to power on/off. Press during menu operation to return to the main menu or perform the selected action.
Media Feed Button: Feeds media manually or returns to the previous step. Press and hold during boot to print a self-test page. Press in standby mode to feed media. Press within menus to go back.
Menu Move Button: Navigates through the LCD menu items.
Menu Select Button: Selects LCD menu items or saves settings.
Self-test
Perform the self-test to verify printer settings. If no issues are detected with the printer, check other connected devices or software. This function operates independently.
Instructions:
1. Turn on the printer and navigate to Tool > Print Printer Config on the LCD.
2. Press the Power button (Print) to initiate the self-test.
3. The printer settings information will print first, followed by wireless interface details.
4. The self-test automatically concludes after printing the wireless interface information.
Peripherals Connection
Bluetooth & Wireless LAN Connection
1. Connect to devices with Bluetooth communication capabilities (PDAs, PCs, etc.) using the device's Bluetooth function.
2. Connect to wireless LAN devices (PDAs, PCs) via Ad-hoc, Soft AP, or Infrastructure modes.
Refer to the Bluetooth & Wi-Fi Connection Manual for detailed connection procedures. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi environments (authentication, encryption, connection mode, IP, SSID) can be verified via the self-test page.
Interface Cable Connection
1. Open the Interface Cap.
2. Connect the external communication cable to the printer's cable port.
3. Connect the interface cable to the device's USB port.
Compatible cables include Serial/USB (optional) or USB Type-C cables supporting USB2.0.

Printer Cleaning
1. Turn off the printer and disconnect all cables.
2. Open the media cover and remove any media inside.
3. Clean the printhead (A) using a cloth or cotton swab soaked in medical-grade alcohol.
4. Clean the black mark sensor (B) with an alcohol-soaked cloth or swab. (Sensor location may vary).
5. Allow the printer to dry for 1-2 minutes after cleaning for the alcohol to evaporate completely.
6. Insert new media and close the media cover.
Caution: The printhead becomes very hot during operation. Avoid touching the heating element. Static electricity can damage the printhead. Use only genuine BIXOLON linerless media. Clean the printhead periodically (after 4 rolls or weekly) to maintain print quality and prevent malfunctions.
Safety Precautions
- Do not connect multiple products to a single power outlet or use loose outlets. Use only standard, grounded outlets. Failure to comply may result in electric shock or fire.
- Do not touch power cords with wet hands. Keep plugs and outlets clean and dry.
- Do not bend or strain power cords. Ensure cords are fully inserted and held firmly when unplugging.
- Do not remove power cords while the product is in use.
- Protect the product from damage by heavy objects.
- Use only authentic BIXOLON products; counterfeit items are not supported.
- Keep small accessories and packaging away from children to prevent ingestion hazards.
- If the product emits strange sounds, burning smells, or smoke, turn it off immediately and unplug the power cord.
- If the product is dropped or damaged, turn it off immediately and unplug the power cord.
- Do not subject the product to shocks, as this may cause fire or damage.
- Install the product in a fixed, stable location to prevent tipping.
- Turn off power and disconnect all cables before moving the product. Do not drop the product during movement.
- Never disassemble, repair, or modify the product yourself. Contact the place of purchase for repairs.
- Prevent foreign substances, liquids, or metals from entering the product.
- Install the product in a well-ventilated area, away from walls. Avoid environments with excessive dust, extreme temperatures, high humidity, or water exposure, as these can cause quality issues or fire hazards.
WEEE
This symbol indicates that the product should not be disposed of with household waste. Separate it from other waste and recycle responsibly to promote sustainable reuse of materials. Contact your retailer or local government for proper recycling procedures.
RFID Transponder
This feature allows the printer to set the optimal position for the RFID transponder during read/write operations. Detailed instructions are in the RFID Programming Manual, available for download from the BIXOLON website (www.bixolon.com). If RFID coding is incorrect due to improper transponder positioning, reset it using the utility program or the printer's LCD menu.
Battery Safety Precautions
- If unusual symptoms like strange odors or overheating occur upon first use, contact your seller immediately.
- Charge the battery only with the specified BIXOLON charger. Using an incorrect charger may lead to overheating, ignition, or explosion.
- Avoid exposing the battery to high temperatures (over 50°C) or high humidity, and do not store or use it in direct sunlight or hot environments (e.g., inside a vehicle). This can reduce battery performance and lifespan, and poses risks of overheating, ignition, or explosion.
- Prevent water, saltwater, or moisture from contacting the battery. Damage to the safety mechanism can lead to overheating, ignition, or explosion.
- Do not drop or subject the battery to strong impacts. Damage to the safety mechanism can cause overheating, ignition, or explosion.
- Do not use a damaged, deformed, or leaking battery.
