Set Up the Feeder

Assembly and Preparation for Setting

  1. Unpack: Turn the lid counterclockwise to remove it. Take out the power adapter and user manual from inside.
  2. Connect to Power:
    1. Plug the 5V power adapter into a power socket and the USB cable into the USB port on the back of the feeder.
    2. The LED display will light up automatically, indicating the feeder is on.
    3. Open the battery compartment at the bottom. Install three alkaline D batteries (not included) for power outages. Ensure correct polarity (+/-).

Notes: Batteries are not included. Do not use batteries as the only power source; they are for emergency backup only to prevent sudden power outages affecting feeding. To avoid battery leakage, remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period. When powered only by batteries, WiFi, record, and reset functions are disabled to extend working time (depending on version), but meal schedules will run normally.

  3. Place Desiccant Bag: Place the desiccant bag into the inner box under the lid.

Notes: Recommended to change the desiccant bag every 15 days to prevent mold growth. Remove the desiccant bag before cleaning the lid.

  4. Add Dry Pet Food: Add dry pet food to the food tank.

Notes: To prevent uneven food dispensing, add enough food so you can see how much kibble is left. Recommended kibble size: 2-15mm (0.07-0.5in) in diameter. Do not use canned, wet, or moist food.

  5. Replace Lid: Turn the lid clockwise from the right rotating sign (unlocked padlock symbol) to the left rotating sign (locked padlock symbol) to snap it into place.
  6. Install Double Food Tray: Attach the double food tray to the notch underneath the feeder base.
  7. Install Meal Splitter: Align the meal splitter with the round hole and install it. To dispense equal amounts of food, move the splitter to its maximum right position until it cannot move further. (The splitter will be positioned to the right from the middle of the food outlet.)

Note: If the splitter is positioned in the middle of the food outlet, the feeder may not dispense an equal amount of food.
