Installation Instructions for Braided Stainless Steel Water Heater Connectors

Improper installation can cause failure, leaks, floods, and property damage. Always follow building codes and construction standards.

Before Installing:

  • Shut off water, gas, and electricity to the appliance before installing.
  • Select the proper length for the job.
  • Ensure a minimum bend radius of 2.5 inches.
  • Inspect the product before installing.
  • This part must be inspected after installation every six months thereafter (more frequently if you have "hard water").

For Use With:

  • Water in accessible locations only.
  • Continuous pressure less than 125 psi and maximum intermittent impulse pressure of 180 psi.
  • Continuous temperature less than 160°F maximum; intermittent exposure of 180°F.

DO NOT:

  • ✔️ Use for gas.
  • ✔️ Install with twists, kinks, sharp angles, or loops in the line, which can damage the line internally.
  • ✔️ Use if damaged in any way.
  • ✔️ Use thread lubricants, tape, or putty.
  • ✔️ OVER-TIGHTEN. Over-tightening can damage the line, connectors, and seals. For metal nuts, hand-tighten plus ¼ turn with a wrench.

Maintenance and Replacement:

Shut off water immediately and replace if signs of damage, cracks, kinks, twists, corrosion, wear, breaks, leaks, or weeping are present.

DO NOT reuse.
