Installation

Follow these steps to install the aquarium light:

1. Step 1: Insert the extendable mounts into the sockets on both ends of the light fixture.
2. Step 2: Adjust the length of the mounts and place the light on the aquarium tank.
3. Step 3: (Optional) Open the battery compartment cover by turning counterclockwise and insert the CR1220 battery into the controller.
4. Step 4: Connect the power supply cable to the light fixture.
5. Step 5: Press the [power/light-up button] to turn on the light.
6. Step 6: Set the desired timer and light mode using the controller.

Controller Instructions

The controller features several indicators and buttons for managing the aquarium light:

Indicators:

• PM Indicator: Shows if the current time is PM (in 12-hour mode) or if it's AM or 24-hour mode.
• Timer Indicator: Displays the current time and setting parameters during configuration.
• Day & Night Indicator: Indicates if Day/Night mode is activated (ON), not activated (OFF), or if mode setting/timer operation is in progress (Flashing).
• Start & End Indicator: Flashes when setting the timer's start and end times.
• 24/7 Indicators (L1-L5): Show if 24/7 mode is activated (ON), not activated (OFF), or which stage (L1-L5) is currently running or being set (Flashing).

Buttons:

• Time setting button ([SET]): Short press to switch between 12/24 hour time formats, or to save and exit settings. Long press for 3 seconds to preset the time format and local time.
• Color Setting Button ([Color icon]): Short press to turn on the light or switch through colors. Long press for 3 seconds to turn off the light.
• Up & Down Buttons ([Up arrow], [Down arrow]): Used to adjust settings such as time format, brightness, timer number, and ON/OFF status.
• Day & Night Button ([DAY]/[NIGHT]): Short press to switch into Day & Night mode or check the current on/off setting. Long press for 3 seconds when the mode is ON to preset Day & Night timer settings.
• 24/7 Button ([24/7]): Short press to switch into 24/7 mode. Long press for 3 seconds to preset 24/7 timer settings.

Regular Mode Setting

In Regular Mode, you can select a preset color from C01 to C09 and adjust the brightness. The light will remain on at the chosen settings.

Color Setting:

1. Short press the [Color icon] button to set the color of the light.
2. Long press the [Color icon] button for 3 seconds to turn off the light.

Day & Night Mode

The Day & Night Mode allows for different lighting conditions throughout the day. It supports DAY mode only, NIGHT mode only, or a shift between DAY and NIGHT modes.

• DAY Mode: Full spectrum white light with adjustable brightness from 5% to 100%.
• NIGHT Mode: Preset color (C01-C09) with adjustable brightness from 5% to 100%.
• There is a 15-minute fade in and fade out period for transitions.

24/7 Mode

The 24/7 Mode offers a more dynamic lighting schedule with 5 stages (L1 to L5). Stages L1 to L4 can be configured with preset colors (C01-C09) and brightness (5%-100%), while L5 is fixed as light off.

• There is a 15-minute fade between each stage.

Preset Local Time

Setting the correct local time is crucial for timer functions.

1. Set Time Format: Long press the [SET] button to enter time editing. First, choose the time format (12H or 24H) using the [Up arrow]/[Down arrow] buttons, then press [SET] to confirm.
2. Set Hour and Minute: Use the [Up arrow]/[Down arrow] buttons to adjust the hour and minute based on your local time. For 12-hour format, ensure the PM indicator is ON for afternoon times.

Day & Night Mode Setting

Follow these steps to configure the Day & Night mode:

DAY Mode Setting:

1. Press the [DAY] button to select DAY mode. The display will show the current ON/OFF status. Use the [Up arrow]/[Down arrow] buttons to switch to ON.
2. Long press the [DAY] button for 3 seconds to enter the DAY mode setting.
3. Configure the DAY light: Set the start time, end time, and brightness using the controller buttons.

NIGHT Mode Setting:

1. Press the [NIGHT] button twice to select NIGHT mode. The display will show the current ON/OFF status. Use the [Up arrow]/[Down arrow] buttons to switch to ON.
2. Long press the [NIGHT] button for 3 seconds to enter the NIGHT mode setting.
3. Configure the NIGHT light: Set the start time, end time, choose the color, and set the brightness using the controller buttons.
4. The DAY/NIGHT indicator will be ON when the mode is activated and will flash when the day/night light is running.

24/7 Mode Setting

Configure the 24/7 mode for a customized lighting schedule:

24/7 Schedule Instructions:

The 24/7 schedule consists of 5 stages (L1 to L5), covering a full 24-hour cycle. The blue markers on the timeline indicate the start and end times for each stage. There are no overlaps or gaps between stages.

24/7 Schedule Setting:

1. Activate 24/7 mode by pressing the [24/7] button, then long press the [24/7] button for 3 seconds to enter the setting mode.
2. The L1 indicator will start flashing, indicating that you are setting L1's start time, end time, color, and brightness. Use the [Up arrow]/[Down arrow] buttons to adjust values and the [SET] button to confirm and move to the next setting.
3. For stages L2 through L5, the start time is automatically set to the previous stage's end time. You only need to set the end time, color, and brightness for these stages.
4. Tips: Repeat the steps to set L2 and L4's end time, color, and brightness. L5 is fixed as lights off, and its end time is set 1 minute before the next day's L1 start. Press the [24/7] button twice to confirm and finish the setting. If you only need to change part of the settings, you can press the [SET] button to save and exit.
5. Once activated, the 24/7 indicator will be ON. One of the L1 to L5 indicators will be ON to show which light stage is currently running. You can press the [24/7] button to quickly switch between 24/7 mode and DAY&NIGHT mode.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Q: I set the timer, but the light did not turn off on time.
  A: Please check if the local time is correctly set on the controller, and ensure the PM indicator is ON for afternoon hours if using 12-hour format.
• Q: There is water condensation on the lampshade. Should I worry or need to clean it?
  A: Water vapor condensation is normal and does not affect the lighting. The internal wires are sealed with waterproof silicone. You can wipe the condensation from the surface. If concerned, consider adding a lid to the aquarium tank.
• Q: After turning on the light, only some LEDs light up, or there is a flicker. What should I do?
  A: Please verify that the input voltage meets the specifications. If using a non-original power supply, it is recommended to switch to the original power supply. • Q: The lamp housing gets very hot after long-term high-brightness lighting. What should I do?
  A: It is normal for the cover to discharge heat upwards. The operating temperature range of the light is -5~50°C (23~122°F). If you are concerned, you can moderately lower the brightness or choose a shorter timing duration.
