Welcome

Thank you for choosing the Fusion5 Windows Tablet. This portable device is designed to take advantage of its size by offering a great mobile package with excellent connectivity, providing a distinct experience for both study and entertainment. It functions as a tablet when you want it and a laptop when you need it.

This manual will introduce the main functions, operating methods, and other features. Please read this manual carefully before using the device. This user guide describes features that are common to most models.

Safety Notice

  1. Do not store your device in extremely hot, cold, dusty, dry, or humid environments.
  2. Handle the device with care. This device can be damaged if dropped, burned, punctured, crushed, or if it comes into contact with liquid. Do not place heavy objects on the device that could cause damage. Consider using a case or cover to protect the device.
  3. Do NOT attempt to open the device by yourself. Disassembling the device may damage it or cause injury. Fusion5 does NOT assume responsibility for data loss due to unauthorized repairs or incorrect operation. Please contact Fusion5 or an authorized service provider.
  4. The storage capacity on the device will be smaller than the specified storage. This is normal and standard, as the operating system requires certain space.
  5. Please note that the new battery is only able to achieve its best performance after two or three full charge and discharge cycles. During the first three full charge cycles, please charge your device for at least 8-10 hours. After this, the battery can be fully charged in about 4 cycles of 8-10 hours. This ensures that the lithium battery will achieve its best performance.
  6. Please charge the battery under the following situations:
    • The battery icon level shows low battery level and requires charging.
    • The device automatically powers off.
    • The device is operating but unresponsive.

Docking Keyboard

Our docking keyboard is an optional purchase and is not included as standard.

Using a Docking Keyboard

  1. On a flat surface, open the cover with the docking pin connector facing upward.
  2. Connect the tablet: gently align the tablet with the two notches and pins with the docking connector. You should hear a snap or a click when connected.
  3. To create a stand for the tablet, fold the cover as shown in Step 2 & 3. Fold the cover to act as a stand.
  4. Be sure to use the tablet and docking keyboard on a flat horizontal surface to prevent any damage to the keyboard or tablet.

Basic Operation

Turn the Tablet On

To turn the tablet on, please press and hold the Power button.

Turn the Tablet Off

Press and hold the power button to turn off. Alternatively, go to Settings, Power, Shut Down.

Installing the Micro SD Card

TF/Micro SD cards are available in a wide range of capacities, varying from 128MB to 256GB.

Remove the Micro SD Card

Turn off the tablet. Push the TF/Micro SD card to eject it from the slot.

Installing the optional SSD

Please gently lift the cover for the M.2 SSD Port. Insert the pins of the M.2 facing up and insert at an angle. Once the SSD is inserted, please push down the SSD so that its retaining screw can be installed and the SSD will be secured in place. Please install the retaining screw.

Initializing your optional M.2 SSD

Once your M.2 SSD is inserted, please right-click on the Start menu and click 'Disk Management'. When Disk Management opens, a pop-up will appear and prompt you to initialize the SSD. Select GUID Partition Table (GPT) and click OK. Right-click in the space that says Unallocated and select New Simple Volume. Please click next through the Wizard. Once the wizard has finished, your new M.2 SSD is ready to use.

The Fusion5 FWIN232 PRO N5 comes with Windows 11, offering a streamlined and modern user experience. Here are some key features:

1. Start Menu and Search

Go to the Start menu [⊞], search for anything, anywhere, pin the apps you use the most, and see your recent files. The Start menu is designed for getting things done with few clicks and swipes.

2. Navigate with Touch

Touch, Swipe, and Zoom with your fingers – no mouse necessary.

3. Download Apps

Click the Microsoft Store icon [Microsoft Store] to find apps, games, and shows you want. The Microsoft Store app is fast and includes your favorite mobile apps that now work on your PC. Plus, search multiple streaming services at once to find movies and shows.

4. Connect with Anyone from the Taskbar

Use the integrated chat feature from the taskbar to connect with people.

5. Quick Change Settings

Press the Windows logo key [⊞] + A to access commonly used settings like volume, brightness, and Wi-Fi.

6. Quick Find Notifications

From the right edge of your screen, swipe with one finger to show the notifications center.

7. Beautiful, Easy-to-Use Settings App

The Settings app features a new navigation design and common controls at the top of key pages, making changing settings easier and faster.

8. Open Task Manager Quickly

Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager and find a list of the apps and processes currently running on your PC.

9. Search for Anything

Press the Windows logo key [⊞] + S to get personalized search results for people, email, and files in local and shared sites, or from the web.

10. Talk Instead of Type

Press the Windows logo key [⊞] + H to use speech recognition to convert spoken words into text anywhere on your PC.

11. Express Yourself with Emoji

Press the Windows logo key [⊞] + period (.) to search for images, symbols, or icons to express emotions or communicate playfully without words. You will find emoticons and GIFs here too.

12. Swipe to Change Desktops

Swipe four fingers left or right on your touch screen to switch to another desktop. You can use the same gesture for your touchpad.

13. Explore Windows 11

A new Windows experience brings you closer to the people and things you love. Press the Windows logo key [⊞] > Recommended > Get Started. You can set up everything how you want it.

Troubleshooting

The following sections describe several common issues and solutions.

The Device is unable to start up

If the device does not turn on when you press the power button, the following suggestions may help you determine why the computer does not start up.

Not Responding

If the device is turned on but is not responding to software or keyboard commands, try the following emergency shutdown procedure: Hold the power button for at least 15 seconds until the shutdown occurs.

The device is unusually warm

It is normal for the device to feel warm to the touch while it is in use. If you suspect that the computer is overheating, allow the computer to cool to room temperature.

WARNING!

To reduce the possibility of heat-related injuries or of overheating the computer, do not place the device directly on your lap. Use the device only on a hard, flat surface. Also, do not allow the AC adapter to contact the skin or a soft surface, such as pillows or rugs or clothing, during operation.

If the Screen is Blank but you have not turned off the computer

The device may be in Sleep State. To exit Sleep, briefly press the power button. Sleep is an energy-saving feature that turns off the display. Sleep can be initiated when the computer is on but not in use, or when the computer has reached a low battery level. To change these and other power settings, right-click the Battery icon on the Windows desktop in the notification area (far right of the taskbar), and then click Preferences.

Software is functioning abnormally

If the software is unresponsive or responds abnormally, restart the computer. If you cannot restart the computer, please see the previous section "Not Responding".

External device does not function as expected

Follow these suggestions if an external device does not function as expected:

Cleaning Procedures

Follow the procedures in this section to safely clean your device.

WARNING!

To prevent electric shock or damage to your device, do not attempt to clean your device whilst it is turned on.

CAUTION!

Do not spray cleaning agents or liquids directly onto the device surface. Liquids dripped on the surface can permanently damage internal components.

Cleaning the display

Gently wipe the display using a soft, lint-free cloth moistened with an alcohol-free glass cleaner. Be sure that the display is dry before use.

Cleaning the sides and cover

To clean or disinfect the sides and cover, use a soft microfiber cloth moistened with one of the cleaning solutions listed previously.
