Operation and Driving

Steps to Start the Vehicle:

  1. Turn on the battery switch; the power switch indicator light will be ON.
  2. Press the alarm switch. The speedometer lights up, and the vehicle enters self-test mode.
  3. Stow the side bracket. When the READY light on the instrument comes ON, you can ride normally.
  4. Press the N/D button on the right brake handle to enter motion D gear; the speedometer D gear light will light up.
  5. Turn the right speed control handle to drive normally.

⚠️ Warning: When the outdoor temperature is below 0℃, the low-temperature protection of the battery system may be triggered. Charge the battery before use, otherwise the vehicle may not run normally. If the meter displays a fault code, check the fault code description in this manual and consult a local GOTRAX authorized dealer.

Dangerous: When the speedometer shows 'D', the vehicle is in forward motion. Turning the speed control handle will make the vehicle move. If you are unfamiliar with the operation, turning the speed control handle too much can cause sudden forward movement at high speed, potentially leading to injury or damage. When first accelerating, concentrate on smooth and light rotation of the speed control and keep fingers on the brake handles to prevent sudden acceleration or braking.

Steps to Turn Off the Vehicle:

  1. After stopping, press the N/D button on the right brake handle. The speedometer D light will go OFF, entering neutral, and the vehicle will no longer move.
  2. Ensure the side bracket is in the parking position, and the READY light is OFF.
  3. Press the alarm button to power off and turn off all electrical equipment.
  4. Turn off the battery switch.

Driving Precautions

  1. No driving with passengers or animals.
  2. To reduce the impact on the center of gravity, luggage must be as low as possible and evenly distributed on both sides. Avoid luggage protruding too far behind the motorcycle.
  3. Luggage must be securely fixed. Ensure luggage cannot move before driving. If the motorcycle feels unstable, recheck and readjust luggage firmness.
  4. Do not carry heavy or bulky luggage, as overloading affects handling and performance.
  5. Do not install accessories that reduce the motorcycle's performance (lighting, ground clearance, braking, handling, tires, compression stroke, etc.).
  6. Increased weight on the handlebar or front fork affects steering performance and causes unsafe driving factors.
  7. This vehicle cannot be converted into a three-wheeled motorcycle or used for towing. GOTRAX is not responsible for damage or injury from self-refitting.
  8. Do not drive after taking medicine or drinking. Wear suitable safety equipment: helmet, eye mask, face shield, gloves, boots, long-sleeved shirt or jacket, trousers.
  9. Maximum load: no more than 100kg (including driver, luggage, and accessories).

Note: The speedometer indicates 1st gear as the lowest power output for stable starting, with 2nd and 3rd gears increasing power. If the charging light flashes and the power indicator is below 20%, recharge the battery. Battery power protection limits output to 15%.
