Tested as a Class A digital device using shielded network cable (STP), providing reasonable protection against harmful interference in commercial environments. May cause interference in residential areas. Requires a properly grounded STP cable.
Canada: Complies with CAN ICES-3 (Class A). Requires a properly grounded STP cable.
Australia/New Zealand: Complies with AS/NZS CISPR 32 Class A RF emission limits. Requires a properly grounded STP cable. May cause RF interference in domestic environments.
Japan: Class A device (VCCI-A). May cause RF interference domestically. Requires a shielded network cable (STP) and proper grounding. Internet connection must be via a router.
Korea: Intended for business environments; may cause RF interference domestically. Use a properly grounded shielded twisted pair (STP) cable.

Safety Instructions

- Use the product in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Axis recommends using a shielded network cable (STP) of CAT6 category or higher.
- Store the product in a dry, ventilated environment.
- Avoid shocks, heavy pressure, or exposing the product to extreme temperatures.
- Do not install on unstable poles, brackets, surfaces, or walls.
- Use only appropriate tools. Excessive force with power tools can damage the product.
- Do not use chemicals, caustic agents, or aerosol cleaners. Use a clean cloth dampened with pure water for cleaning.
- Use only accessories that comply with technical specifications and are provided or recommended by Axis.
- Do not attempt to repair the product yourself. Contact Axis support or your reseller for service matters.
- Do not point the camera lens directly at the sun or other high-intensity radiation sources, as this can cause damage.
- Use a yellow/green grounding cable of at least 0.5 mm² or 20 AWG.
Transportation
NOTICE: Use original packaging or equivalent to prevent damage during transport.
Battery
The product uses a 3.0 V BR2032 lithium battery for its internal real-time clock (RTC), typically lasting at least five years. Low battery power can cause the RTC to reset. A log message will appear in the product's server report when the battery voltage is low. Contact Axis support if a battery change is requested. Lithium coin cells contain 1,2-dimethoxyethane; ethylene glycol dimethyl ether (EGDME).
Dome Cover
NOTICE: Be careful not to scratch, damage, or leave fingerprints on the dome cover, as this can decrease image quality. Keep the protective plastic on until installation is complete. Do not clean a seemingly clean dome cover or polish its surface. For general cleaning, use a non-abrasive, solvent-free neutral soap or detergent mixed with pure water and a soft, clean cloth. Rinse with lukewarm water and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh detergents, gasoline, benzene, acetone, or similar chemicals. Do not clean in direct sunlight or at elevated temperatures.
Installation Steps
The following describes the physical installation process based on the diagrams:
- Step 1: The camera and an RJ45 Push-pull connector are shown with quantity indicators (1x each).
- Step 1.1: Insert a microSD card into the camera.
- Step 1.2: Carefully remove the outer lens/dome assembly.
- Step 1.3: Access internal connection points by releasing a latch.
- Step 1.4: Further remove the outer lens/dome assembly.
- Step 1.5: Rotate and secure the lens assembly, engaging a locking mechanism.
- Step 2.1: Attach and rotate the lens assembly into place, connecting internal components.
- Step 2.2: Secure the camera with three T30 screws, torqued to 5 Nm (3.7 lb ft). Note IR emission warning.
- Step 2.3: Connect the RJ45 network cable. Observe IR emission warning: do not stare at the lamp for more than 60 seconds at a distance of 50 cm.
- Step 2.4: Remove and dispose of the protective film from the lens. Installation complete.
