Quantity: 4 (for backplates)
Fan & MB Cable
Quantity: 1 (for Fan and MB connection)
Visual Description: The hardware list displays images of screws, washers, backplates for Intel and AMD sockets, and thumb nuts, along with a cable for connecting the fan and motherboard.
Cover Installation
The top cover is magnetically attached, making it easy to lift up and reposition.
Visual Description: An illustration shows the pump unit with the top cover being lifted off. Another illustration shows the pump unit with the rotating water cooling cap, indicating that the cover is magnetic and can be placed in any direction.
Cable Connection Guide
Connect the components as follows:
- MB PUMP: Connect to the motherboard's pump header.
- 5V ARGB: Connect to the motherboard's 5V ARGB header for lighting effects.
- MB 4 Pin PWM: Connect to the motherboard's CPU fan header for fan speed control.
Visual Description: Diagrams illustrate the connections: the MB PUMP cable connecting to the pump, the 5V ARGB cable connecting to the corresponding header, and the MB 4 Pin PWM cable connecting to the CPU fan header. Another diagram shows multiple fans connected together, with an instruction to remove the cover from the back of the fan before connecting them.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Remove Protective Lid
Before installation, remove the protective lid from the pump.
Visual Description: An illustration shows the protective lid being removed from the pump assembly.
Step 2: Mounting the Backplate to Motherboard
A. Intel: For LGA 115x/1200/1700 sockets, align the backplate with the mounting holes on the motherboard.
B. AMD: For AM4 & AM5 sockets, use the provided AMD backplates and align them with the motherboard mounting points.
Visual Description: Diagrams show the installation of backplates for both Intel and AMD motherboards. For Intel, a clear backplate is shown being placed over the CPU socket area. For AMD, two bracket-like backplates are shown being attached.
Step 3: Mounting the Pump to Motherboard
Position the pump/retention ring assembly on the CPU. Ensure the holes on the retention ring align with the backplate screws. Tighten the thumb screws onto the backplate screws until finger tight.
Visual Description: An illustration shows the pump assembly being placed onto the CPU, aligning with the previously installed backplate. Thumb screws are shown being tightened to secure the pump.
Step 4: Mounting the Radiator & Fans
Install the fans onto the radiator using the provided UNC 6-32, 30mm screws. Then, mount the radiator (with fans attached) onto the computer case using the UNC 6-32, 5mm screws and washers.
Visual Description: A diagram illustrates the radiator being mounted to a computer case, with fans attached to the radiator. Arrows indicate the use of 30mm screws for fan attachment and 5mm screws with washers for radiator mounting to the case.
