Part 1: Installation Instruction
1.1 General
This installation is to be performed in accordance with common practice described in the general practice section of the respective Gulfstream Aircraft Maintenance Manual. The installer must follow the latest revision of the following documents:
- Gulfstream AMM
- AVE-FLA070-IM
No specific drawings are applicable for this change. The following appliances carry an ETSO authorization: None. The change is to be performed using document AVE-MOD-016-MCS in its latest issue. Aircraft manuals remain valid; for maintenance of the new lights, follow the referenced Aveo Installation Manuals.
1.2 Continued Airworthiness
Aircraft manuals remain fully valid. Inspection intervals and procedures of the aircraft override general statements in component manuals listed under §1.1. For inspection of the new lights, follow the procedure in the referenced Aveo Installation Manuals.
1.3 Description
This modification involves replacing the existing flashlights and their chargers. The installation includes two units in the cockpit and one unit in the baggage compartment. The new lights are direct replacements and do not require any changes to the aircraft's electrical system (A/C side).
1.4 Flashlight Installation
The installation involves mounting the flashlight and its cradle/charger. The process is detailed across several diagrams and a parts list.
Diagrammatic Representation of Installation:

Notes:
- Remove the existing flashlight and holder according to the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM).
- Disconnect the wiring for the existing flashlight charger.
- Connect the wiring for the new flashlight charger in the same manner as the original installation, using the component installation manual.
- Install the charger using the fastener items listed in the appropriate option. For Option B, if using bolt adhesive Loctite 2400, the charger may be installed horizontally or vertically based on interior and customer preference.
