Safety Instructions
WARNING: Read all safety instructions before installation. If unsure, consult technical support or a specialized installer. Always disconnect the negative battery terminal before installing electrical equipment. Continuous exposure to sound pressure over 85dB may cause hearing damage. Ensure the equipment is used with DC voltage batteries between 12.6 and 14.4 volts. Install in a ventilated, secure location, away from metallic parts to avoid ground looping. Ensure installation does not affect vehicle/vessel operation. Choose a dry location; direct water contact can damage the amplifier. Use rubber O-rings when passing cables through metallic walls. Clean the amplifier periodically. Be cautious of high temperatures. Ensure no damage to fuel tanks, brake lines, boat hulls, or electrical cables when making holes. Secure cables properly. Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during installation.
Technologies
Dynamic Thermal Management (DTM)
The DTM is a dynamic thermal management system that maintains high amplifier efficiency by accelerating thermal exchange between electronic components and the heatsink. (Patent required)
Ultra Compact PCB
An intelligent layout utilizing PCB area and modern, reduced-structure components results in a compact, robust design with excellent thermal efficiency.
Robust Construction
Designed for power sports applications, the product features extremely robust assembly, with mounting points and PCB layout engineered to withstand high vibrations, bumps, and impacts. This includes an aluminum heatsink, conductive copper layer, and electronic components.
Vibration Absorption Device
SounDigital has incorporated a vibration absorption device in EVOPS products, acting as shock absorbers to reduce vibration impact on the electronic circuit board, thereby increasing amplifier lifespan and reliability.
I - Power Supply
SounDigital amplifiers are known for low battery consumption, improved in the EVOPS line. The new I-POWER SUPPLY uses a new generation of "EE" core transformers, replacing toroidal transformers, delivering over 90% efficiency for more hours of sound without battery recharge.
Marinization with Protection Index IP64
The product is protected against dust particles and water droplets from all sides. The circuit board also receives a conformal coating treatment for protection against moisture.
Disassembling and Assembling the Plastic Seals
Disassembling: Squeeze the flexible plastic seals and pull them out. Each connector has a specific seal.
Assembling: Fit the disassembled flexible plastic seals into their specific housings, ensuring they are perfectly seated.

Electrical Dimensioning
Proper operation requires correct electrical system and cable dimensioning. The following table shows minimum cable sections:
Power RMS | Power Cable | Ground Cable | Speaker Cable |
800 WRMS | 10 mm² - 7 AWG | 2 x 1.5 mm² - 15 AWG | (Refer to speaker impedance) |
It is recommended to use ONLY OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) Cables.
Installation Sequence
- Disconnect the negative terminal from all batteries.
- Mount the amplifier for access to connectors.
- Install power cables from the battery to the fuse holder/circuit breaker, using appropriately sized cables. Connect all, but do not insert fuses or turn on breakers yet. The maximum distance for the fuse/circuit breaker from the battery is 1 foot (30 cm).
- Connect power cables to the amplifier, observing polarity (+12VDC to positive, GND to negative). The ground cable should be as short as possible and connected to the battery's negative terminal or vehicle chassis. Remove paint between the ground connection point and the chassis for optimal conductivity.
- Install signal input cables away from power cables. Connect RCA or high-level input cables to the head unit and amplifier.
- Install audio output cables with appropriate sections, keeping them away from power and audio input cables. Connect them to the amplifier and speakers, respecting polarity.
- Install the remote cable with the power cables, using at least 1.5 mm² (15 AWG) cable. Connect it to the amplifier's "REM" terminal.
- Before powering the system, verify all connections for mistakes or short-circuits.
- Reconnect the battery ground terminals.
- Ensure the head unit is off, then insert fuses or turn on circuit breakers.
- Turn on the main unit. The amplifier's "On" LED will illuminate, indicating operation.

Procedure for Setting the Gain
Necessary Equipment: Digital AC voltmeter, media with a 60 Hz sine wave test tone at 0dB, 1/8" screwdriver.
Setup Procedure:
- This procedure is the same for both gain controls.
- Turn the gain control all the way down.
- Disconnect the output cables from the amplifier outputs.
- Turn off the fader control to the center position.
- Set the crossover selector switch to "F" (Full Range).
- Use a 60 Hz sine wave test tone.
- Connect the AC voltmeter to the speaker outputs.
- Slowly increase the gain control until the voltmeter reads the specified output voltage for stereo or bridge mode (refer to the table below).
MODEL | STEREO / POWER | BRIDGE / POWER | STEREO OUTPUT VOLTAGE | BRIDGE OUTPUT VOLTAGE |
---|---|---|---|---|
800.4 EVOF5 | 20 / 200 W | 40 / 400 W | 20.0 V | 40.0 V |
Crossovers Set Up
The crossover allows you to filter frequencies:
- "F" (Full Range): All frequencies are reproduced.
- "HP" (High Pass): Set the variable control between 45 Hz and 850 Hz to perform a high-pass cut filter, allowing only frequencies above the set point to pass.
- "LP" (Low Pass): Set the variable control between 45 Hz and 850 Hz to perform a low-pass cut filter, allowing only frequencies below the set point to pass.
