Invicta Instruction Manual and Warranty

Smarter by the Second.

Thank You for Choosing an Invicta Timepiece

Invicta's mission, since 1837, has been to offer magnificent Swiss timepieces at modest prices, shifting the balance of power to the consumer. We hope you enjoy your new timepiece and have a long, high-quality experience with it. Please read these instructions carefully.

Invicta timepieces have been tested for water resistance. To maintain this, always close the crown tightly after setting. It is recommended to have your timepiece checked annually by a certified watchmaker to ensure gasket condition for precise operation and longevity. Refer to www.invictawatch.com for Service Center information.

Important Things to Know

Screw Down Crowns

Many Invicta watches feature a screw-down crown to prevent water infiltration, especially Diver models. To adjust the date and/or time:

  1. Unscrew the crown by rotating it counterclockwise until it springs open.
  2. Gently pull the crown out to its first or second click stop position.
  3. Set the watch.
  4. Push the crown in and screw it back tightly.

Failure to do so will cancel water resistance and void the warranty. This process should be effortless.

Tritnite® Luminous Markers

Tritnite® is an environmentally friendly luminous material used exclusively by Invicta. It requires 4-5 hours of light exposure to glow brightly in the dark and performs with regular light exposure.

Quartz, Automatic, and Manual Wind Watches

Quartz Watch

Battery-powered and does not require winding. The battery will eventually need replacement.

Automatic Watch

A mechanical watch that winds itself. Daily wear causes the movement to wind progressively. To start, hand-wind by rotating the crown clockwise (unscrew first if it's a screw-down crown) or swing the watch side-to-side for 30 seconds. Housing an automatic in a watch winder box is recommended.

Manual Wind Watch

A mechanical watch that requires manual winding. To wind, turn the crown clockwise in its normal operating position until resistance is felt. This type of watch should be wound daily.

What Does This Indicate?

Many Invicta watches have features beyond time and date, displayed on subdials, indicators, counters, or zones. These typically measure minutes, seconds, and tenths of a second.

PLEASE NOTE: Dial designs vary, so subdials may not be perfectly round or in the same position.

Subdial Functions:
  • Small Seconds: An alternate to the sweeping center second hand, this counter rotates continuously, measuring 60 seconds.
  • Hours: A chronograph function displaying elapsed hours, often in 12 one-hour intervals.
  • Minutes: A chronograph function displaying elapsed minutes, often in 30 one-minute intervals.
  • Tenths of a Second: A chronograph function displaying tenths of a second elapsed.

What Does This Indicate?

Additional Indicators:
  • 24-Hour: Often a GMT or second time zone indicator, making a full rotation in 24 hours, indicating AM/PM. Often coupled with a Sun/Moon display.
  • Sun/Moon: Indicates AM/PM through the display of the sun or moon. Often coupled with a 24-hour indicator.
  • Moonphase: Assures near-perfect synchronization with the lunation period, requiring adjustment only every two and a half years if the watch remains running.
  • Power Reserve: Found on automatic watches, this displays the hours of autonomy remaining after reaching its winding peak.
  • Diver's Scale: Found on the turning bezel of a diver watch, it allows a diver to preset submerged time in minutes. It can also be found beneath the crystal and turned by a pusher at the 9 o'clock position.
  • Tachymeter: Also called a tachometer, it measures the speed of travel over a given distance, frequently used to determine the speed of a car over a measured distance.

Which Instructions Should I Read?

Invicta offers various watch styles with different movements and complications. To find the correct instructions for your timepiece, identify its functions:

Setting the Reference Time

The reference time runs in the background, to which the alarm time refers. Resetting the time requires identical correction of the reference time. If not synchronized, the alarm signal may be emitted at the wrong time.

  3. Push the crown back into position 0. The display changes from reference to alarm time.

PLEASE NOTE: Setting the date too quickly in quick mode can result in an incorrect date. Switching the date between 01 and 31 restores synchronization.

Chronographs

Built-in Stopwatch Feature

Warranty Information

Your Invicta timepiece is backed by a comprehensive 1-year warranty covering failure or breakdown of the movement and components, including crown, dial, markers, hands, and water resistance. It does not cover scratches to the crystal, case, metal band, leather, microfiber, or rubber straps, or damage from normal wear and tear.

An Invicta Platinum Plan extended 4-year warranty is also available. Information for both warranties can be found in your gift box or by calling 1-866-INVICTA.

Genuine Invicta timepieces purchased from an Elite Invicta Retailer are in original, tested condition and should only be serviced by qualified professionals at the place of purchase or at the Invicta Service Center, adhering to the warranty terms.

If Invicta timepieces are purchased from sources other than recognized Elite Invicta Retailers, or serviced/repaired by unqualified third parties, they may be altered from their original condition, beyond Invicta Watch Group's control. Invicta Watch Group cannot guarantee the quality standards of altered timepieces, and Invicta Warranties will not be valid. In such cases, the purchaser relies on the seller's warranty.

If you do not extend the 1-year warranty or if it expires, it is recommended to have manual wind and automatic watches serviced annually at the Invicta Service Center to assure precise operation and longevity.

Invicta strives for superior quality, reflected in watch accuracy, attention to detail in assembly, and life expectancy. While many wristwatches fail the test of time, Invicta timepieces are designed to withstand demanding conditions for a long time. Every care is taken to ensure watches meet the highest standards before leaving the workshop.

If your watch is not functioning properly during or after the warranty period, send it to the Service Center for correction. While minimizing service time is a concern, clients should understand that every watch sent for service is thoroughly inspected for craftsmanship, material damage, and movement-related irregularities. Any factors impacting overall appearance and performance are also assessed.

Once apparent problems are resolved, your watch enters a two-week testing period for accuracy observation. If it functions properly, it will be sent to you immediately. If the designated technician finds it necessary to re-submit the watch, it will be tested for an additional week. This extended testing ensures performance when you receive it back.

If a watch cannot be repaired due to market availability or key components, Invicta reserves the right to exchange it for a product of equal or higher value.
