4. Functions
4.1 Tri-level Control (Corridor Function)
Hytronik builds this function inside the motion sensor to achieve tri-level control, for areas requiring a light change notice before switch-off. It offers 3 levels of light: 100% --> dimmed light --> off; and 2 periods of selectable waiting time: motion hold-time and stand-by time; selectable daylight threshold and detection area.
4.2 Lux Off Function
The built-in daylight sensor reads ambient natural light and switches off the fixture automatically when artificial light is not required (natural light lux level exceeds daylight threshold). If the stand-by time is preset at "+∞", the fixture never switches off even when natural light is sufficient.
4.3 Synchronization Function
By connecting the "SYNC" terminals in parallel (see wiring diagram), any sensor detecting motion will trigger all HMW15 units in the group to turn on the lights when the surrounding natural light is below the daylight threshold. This allows the sensor module to be shared, and the detection area can be widely enlarged.
4.4 Manual Override
With a push-switch, users can manually switch lights on/off or adjust brightness during motion hold-time. This enhances user-friendliness and provides options for extraordinary demands.
- Short push (<1s): on/off function.
- ON → OFF: The light turns off immediately and remains off for a duration equal to the hold time preset, even if movement is detected. After this period, the sensor returns to auto mode.
- OFF → ON: The light turns on 100% and enters auto sensor mode, even if the ambient Lux level exceeds the daylight threshold.
- Long push (>1s): Adjusts the maximum brightness (between 10% and 100%) during hold-time. Settings from the remote control and push switch can overwrite each other; the last adjustment is remembered.
4.5 Semi-auto Function (Absence Detection)
The motion sensor is activated only by a manual press of the push switch. The light remains on during presence and dims down in absence, eventually switching off automatically after the stand-by time expires. In this mode, the push terminal is used for the 'manual on' switch input. Users can choose either function 4.4 or 4.5. The default function is 4.4.
5. Wiring Diagram
Diagram Description: Illustrates the wiring connections for the HMW15 sensor. It shows connections for Live (L), Neutral (N), DALI bus (DALI+ and DALI-), and LED Driver (LED+ and LED-). It also indicates the SYNC terminals for synchronization and the connection for a push switch (labeled 'push'). The diagram shows two possible configurations, one with a single HMW15 and one with two, connected to LED drivers. A note specifies that if functions 4.3 or 4.4 are not desired, the 'push' terminal should be left disconnected.6. Detection Pattern
Diagram Description: A circular detection pattern diagram showing the coverage area of the sensor when ceiling mounted. The diagram plots detection range in meters against ceiling mounted height in meters. Concentric circles indicate different detection sensitivities: 10%, 30%, 50%, and 75%. The maximum detection height shown is 12 meters.7. Description of the Button Functions (remote control HRC-11)
Diagram Description: Layout of the Hytronik HRC-11 remote control. It features several buttons grouped into zones:- Button 1: Permanent ON/OFF (selects permanent ON or OFF mode; buttons 2/4 resume auto operation; mode reverts to AUTO after power failure).
- Button 2: RESET (resets all settings to rotary switch defaults).
- Button 3: Shift (activates red LED indication for settings valid for 20 seconds).
- Button 4: Auto Mode (initiates automatic sensor operation).
- Buttons 3 & 4 (Semi-auto Mode): Initiates semi-auto mode after pressing Shift (button 3). Fixture is manually turned on by push-switch and automatically off.
- Button 5: Power Output (shifts light output between 80% and 100%; "Sensor off" and "Twilight" functions are disabled).
- Button 6: Brightness +/- (adjusts light brightness between 10% and 100%).
