3. Practical Tips
Load Tips
WARNING: When sorting laundry, ensure you:
- Remove metallic objects (hair clips, pins, coins).
- Button pillow cases, close zips, tie loose belts and long robe ribbons.
- Remove rollers, hooks, or clips from curtains.
- Carefully read clothing washing labels.
- Remove any persistent stains using specific detergents.
For rugs, bedcovers, or other heavy clothing, avoid the spinning cycle. For wool, ensure items are machine washable and marked with "Pure virgin wool", "Does not mat", or "Machine washable" labels.
Helpful Suggestions for the User
A guide for environmentally friendly and economic use of your appliance.
Maximise The Load Size
Achieve the best use of energy, water, detergent, and time by using the recommended maximum load size. Save up to 50% energy by washing a full load instead of two half loads.
Do you need to pre-wash?
For heavily soiled laundry only! Save detergent, time, water, and 5-15% energy consumption by NOT selecting Prewash for slight to normally soiled laundry.
Is a hot wash required?
Pretreat stains with stain remover or soak dried stains before washing to reduce the necessity of a hot wash program. Save up to 50% energy by using a 60°C wash program.
Detergent Use Recommendations
For heavily soiled whites, use cotton programs of 60°C or above with a heavy-duty washing powder. For washes between 40°C and 60°C, use detergents appropriate for fabric type and soiling level (powders for whites/colour fast, liquids/colour protecting for coloured fabrics). For temperatures below 40°C, use liquid detergents or those specifically labeled for low-temperature washing. For wool or silk, use only detergents specifically formulated for these fabrics.
4. Maintenance and Cleaning
Clean the exterior with a damp cloth, avoiding abrasives, alcohol, or solvents. Regularly clean the soap drawer and pump filters for optimal performance. A monthly service wash with a proprietary cleaner is also recommended.
Drawer Cleaning
Clean the drawer to avoid detergent and additive residue. Extract the drawer, clean with running water, and reinsert. Ensure the siphon cap is correctly refitted.
Filter Cleaning
The machine has a special filter to trap large residue (e.g., buttons, coins) that could clog the drain. On certain models, pull out the corrugated hose, remove the stopper, and drain water into a container, ensuring the drum is empty. Place an absorbent cloth under the filter before unscrewing. Turn the filter counter-clockwise. Remove and clean it, then replace it clockwise. The handle locks horizontally. Lubricating the seal with liquid soap can aid refitting. Reverse steps to reassemble.
Suggestions for Moves or Prolonged Disuse
If storing the machine in an unheated room for a long period, drain all water from tubes. Unplug the machine. Detach the drain tube, lower it to drain water into a bowl, and secure it at the rear. Keep the door glass and gasket clean.
The manufacturer's warranty covers faults of a mechanical or electrical nature. Faults caused by handling, installation, or misuse are not covered and may incur charges.

Other Anomalies
- Washing machine does not work/start: Check plug, power, socket, door closure, program selection, start button, and ensure not in pause or time delay mode.
- Water leaked on floor: Check tap seal, supply hose, fill valve, and front filter closure.
- Washing machine does not spin: Load balancing system may reduce speed or abort spin. Remove/detangle load. Check for water not fully drained (Error 3). Ensure "no spin" function is not selected. Check options and detergent amount. Ensure machine is leveled and transport screws were removed. Check drum for foreign objects.
- Strong vibrations/noises during spin cycle: Ensure machine is leveled, transport screws were removed, and drum is free of foreign objects (coins, hinges, buttons, etc.).
The standard manufacturer warranty covers faults due to manufacturing defects. Misuse, incorrect installation, or failure to follow instructions may incur charges.
Ecological Detergents
Use of ecological detergents without phosphates may cause:
- Cloudier rinse drain water (due to suspended zeolites, which do not affect rinse efficiency).
- White powder (zeolites) on laundry (normal, does not affect fabric color). Select a rinse program to remove. Consider using less detergent in the future.
- Foam in the water at last rinse (does not necessarily indicate poor rinsing). Consider using less detergent.
- Abundant foam (due to anionic surfactants). Do not re-rinse; it is ineffective. Suggest conducting a maintenance wash with a proprietary cleaner.
If problems persist or a malfunction is suspected, immediately contact an Authorised Customer Service Centre. Always use original spare parts available from Authorised Customer Service Centres.
Warranty
The product is guaranteed under terms and conditions on the included certificate. The certificate must be filled and stored. Proof of purchase is required for warranty repairs. The manufacturer is not responsible for printing errors and reserves the right to make changes to products.
