Overview
The DeepCool RF120 is a 3-in-1 RGB fan kit designed to enhance the aesthetics and cooling performance of your PC build. This kit includes three 120mm RGB fans, a controller hub, and necessary cables for easy installation and synchronized lighting effects.

- Item 1: Mounting Screws [x12] - Used to secure the fans to your computer case.
- Item 2: RF120 RGB Fans [x3] - 120mm fans featuring customizable RGB lighting.
- Item 3: RGB Fan Hub/Controller [x1] - A central unit to connect multiple fans for synchronized RGB lighting and power distribution. It has ports labeled FAN 1, FAN 2, FAN 3, and FAN 4.
- Item 4: RGB Extension Cable [x1] - A cable to connect the RGB controller to a motherboard's RGB header or other compatible RGB devices. It is marked with +12V, G, R, B pins for RGB color control.
- Item 5: Mode/Speed Control Cable [x1] - This cable connects to the RGB controller and allows users to manually adjust lighting modes, fan speed, and power on/off/brightness settings.
Installation Guide
Fan Mounting
To install the fans, align each 120mm RF120 RGB fan with the mounting points on your computer case. Secure the fan in place using the provided mounting screws (Item 1). This process is illustrated in a diagram showing a fan being attached to a computer case panel with screw holes.
Wiring and Connectivity
Proper wiring ensures the fans receive power and their RGB lighting functions correctly. Follow these steps:
- Connect Fans to Controller: Connect the power and RGB cables from each RF120 RGB fan (Item 2) to the corresponding ports on the RGB Fan Hub/Controller (Item 3). The controller has labeled ports for FAN 1, FAN 2, and FAN 3.
- Connect Controller to Power: Connect the RGB Fan Hub/Controller (Item 3) to a SATA power connector from your computer's power supply unit. This provides the necessary power for the fans and their lighting.
- Connect RGB Signal:
- Option A (Motherboard Sync): Use the RGB Extension Cable (Item 4) to connect the RGB controller (Item 3) to a compatible 4-pin RGB header on your motherboard. Ensure the pin configuration (+12V, G, R, B) matches the motherboard header. This allows for synchronization with motherboard lighting software.
- Option B (Manual Control): Connect the Mode/Speed Control Cable (Item 5) to the RGB controller (Item 3). This cable features buttons for adjusting lighting modes, fan speed, and power.
A detailed wiring diagram shows the fans connected to the controller, the controller connected to SATA power, and two options for connecting the RGB signal: one to a motherboard RGB header (+12V GRB) and another using the mode/speed control cable.
