Unboxing and Stand Assembly

Follow these steps to unpack your television and assemble the stand.

Step 1: Unpack Components

Carefully unpack the television and all accessories. Identify the main TV unit, stand parts (e.g., KA, KB), screws (e.g., M5L12), and cables.

Ensure you use the correct screws (M5L12) and apply the recommended torque: 1.5 N·m / 15 kgf·cm.

Step 2: Attach Stand Parts

Attach the stand parts (e.g., SB1, SB2) to the TV unit. Ensure the parts are oriented correctly according to the diagrams.

Step 3: Position the TV

With assistance from another person, carefully lift the TV and place it on a stable, flat surface.

Step 4: Secure the Stand

Firmly attach the stand components (KA, KB) to the TV using the provided screws (M5L12).

Step 5: Connect Initial Cables

Connect any necessary initial cables to the designated ports on the TV, such as CN1 and CN2.

Connections

Connect your external devices and audio systems to the television.

Step 6: Connect External Devices and Audio

Connect your devices to the appropriate ports:

• S-CENTER SPEAKER IN: For connecting compatible Sony soundbars or speaker systems.
• DIGITAL AUDIO OUT (OPTICAL): For audio output to external receivers or soundbars.
• HDMI (eARC/ARC): For connecting HDMI devices, supporting Audio Return Channel.
• HDMI IN (Ports 1-4): For connecting various HDMI sources like Blu-ray players, game consoles, etc. Ports 3 & 4 support 4K 120 Hz.
• LAN: For wired network connection.
• RS-232C: For control and communication. Pinout: 1: TxD, 2: RxD, 3: GND/Tierra. Recommended cable length: less than 7mm.
• IRIN: For infrared signal input. Pinout: 1: IR, 2: GND/Tierra. Recommended cable length: less than 1.5/1.5 mm.

Step 7: Connect Power

Connect the power cord to the TV and then to a power outlet.

Power On and Initial Setup

Turn on your TV and complete the initial setup process.

Step 8: Power On and Setup

Press the [Power Symbol] button to turn on the TV. Follow the on-screen prompts to:

• Connect to your Wi-Fi network [Wi-Fi Symbol].
• Pair the remote control.
• Complete channel tuning and other initial settings.

The [Microphone Switch] on the TV can be toggled ON or OFF.

Step 9: Remote Control

Use the provided remote control to navigate the menus and operate the TV.
