Application Download & Installation
This device supports iOS and Android. To begin:
- Download the official application from your device's app store (App Store or Google Play Store).
- Follow the in-app instructions to register and log in for proper operation.
- For any questions, please contact the official application developer.
Quick Start Procedures
Step 1: Charging the Device
Connect the USB-C charging cable to charge the device. The Chipper 3X BT is powered by an internal, non-removable Lithium Polymer rechargeable battery. Charging before first use is recommended for approximately two to three hours. Use only the provided USB-C cable to prevent potential electrical damage.
Step 2: Pairing the Device
Turn on the device pairing function on your smartphone or tablet. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone/tablet. Press the power button on the Chipper 3X BT to turn it on.
Step 3: Connecting to Your Device
Select "Chipper 3X BT" from the Scanned Device List on your smartphone or tablet. Once connected, the blue LED on the Chipper 3X BT will turn on.
Step 4: Starting a Transaction
Follow your application's instructions to initiate a transaction. Swipe, insert, or tap your card to complete the payment.
Important Notes for Card Handling:
- When swiping or inserting an EMV IC card, ensure the magstripe or EMV chip is facing the correct direction.
- When using NFC, tap the payment card within a 4 cm range on top of the NFC marking on the device.

NFC Status Indicators
The device provides visual and audio feedback for NFC transactions:
- Ready for tapping card: First LED ON.
- Reading card information: First LED flashing.
- Card reading process successfully completed: 4 LEDs ON in consecutive order, followed by one "BEEP" sound.
- Transaction completed: Two "BEEP" sounds.
- Standby mode: Blue LED flashing (indicating Bluetooth connection status).
- Error, please retry: First LED flashing, followed by two "BEEP" sounds.
Cautions & Important Notes
- Ensure the device is fully charged before use.
- Ensure the magstripe/EMV chip of the card is facing the correct direction when swiping or inserting.
- The NFC card should be tapped within 4 cm range on top of the reader mark.
- Do not drop, disassemble, tear, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, shred, microwave, incinerate, paint, or insert foreign objects into the device, as this will damage it and void the warranty.
- Do not immerse the device in water or place it near washbasins or wet locations. Do not spill food or liquid on the device. Do not attempt to dry the device with external heat sources like microwaves or hair dryers.
- Do not use corrosive solvents or water to clean the device; use a dry cloth only.
- Do not use sharp tools to point at internal components, connectors, or contacts, as this may lead to device malfunction and void the warranty.

Troubleshooting
Device Pairing Issues
- Device cannot be paired: Press the power button to restart. Check if the device's serial number (on the back) appears in your smartphone/tablet's Scanned Device List.
- Device lost connection / auto-off: Press the power button to turn on again; it should auto-connect. Recharge the device if the battery is low. Ensure the device and smartphone/tablet are within reception range and Bluetooth is enabled on the smartphone/tablet.
Device Functionality Issues
- Device does not work with phone/tablet: Restart the device and ensure it auto-connects. Recharge if battery is low. Check reception range and Bluetooth status. Verify your operating system version is supported.
- Device cannot read card successfully: Ensure the device has power and is connected. Check application instructions for card handling. Ensure card slots are clear. Verify card orientation (magstripe/chip) and swipe/insert speed. Ensure your phone/tablet model is supported.
- Tap Card Issues: Check if your card supports NFC. Ensure the card is within 4 cm of the NFC marking. Remove the card from wallets/purses to avoid interference.
- Device has no response: Use a paper clip to press the reset button on the bottom of the device to reboot.
Warranty Information
The warranty excludes damage or defects caused by failure to follow instructions, accidents, abuse, misuse, misapplication, product modification, improper voltage/current, acts of God, shipping damage, or service performed by unauthorized personnel. BBPOS is not obligated to support the device across all operating environments or future software/hardware versions. For warranty or customer support, please contact the dealer. Self-repair will void the warranty.
