Harley-Davidson FURY N04 Bluetooth 3/4 Helmet

This document provides a quick start guide for the Harley-Davidson FURY N04 Bluetooth 3/4 Helmet.

Product Details

The helmet features integrated speakers, a microphone, chinstrap, and retention D-rings.

Bluetooth System's Buttons:

  • (+) Button
  • Center Button
  • (-) Button
  • Mesh Intercom Button
  • DC Power Charging & Firmware Upgrade Port
  • Pinhole Fault Reset Button
  • Status & Charging LED

Putting on the Helmet

Gently pull the padded chinstrap outward and slide the helmet onto your head. Route the chinstrap under your chin, then thread it through both D-Rings. To fasten securely, thread the chinstrap back through the D-Ring closest to your neck, and pull.

Note: Check the chinstrap's position and tension regularly to ensure a proper fit.

Accessory Installation: Visor

Harley-Davidson provides both a long and short visor in the package. Align the buttons of the visor with the helmet and press hard to attach.

Icon Legend

  • TAP [number]x: Tap button the specified number of times
  • HOLD [number]s: Press and Hold button for the specified amount of time
  • Audible prompt: "Hello"

Basic Operations

  • Powering On: Press and hold the Center Button for 1 second (HOLD 1s).
  • Powering Off: Tap the Center Button once (TAP 1x).
  • Volume Up: Tap the (+) Button once (TAP 1x).
  • Volume Down: Tap the (-) Button once (TAP 1x).

Checking the Battery Level: Upon powering on, the LED indicator will display the battery level.

Phone Pairing

  1. Press and hold the Center Button for 5 seconds (HOLD 5s). The system will announce "Phone pairing" and the LEDs will blink blue and red.
  2. Select "FURY N04" in the list of Bluetooth devices detected on your phone.

Note: The Bluetooth system will automatically enter Phone Pairing mode when initially turned on.

Bluetooth Pairing with WHIM

Pairing with WHIM:

  1. On the Boom! Box radio, navigate to Home > Setup > Wireless Headset Setup > Pair Rider (select).
  2. Press and hold the Center Button for 10 seconds (HOLD 10s) until the system announces "Configuration menu".
  3. Tap the (+) Button once (TAP 1x) until the system announces "Phone pairing" and the LEDs blink blue and red.
  4. Select "FURY N04 v1.0..." on your Boom! Box radio.

Using the Phone

  • Answer a Call: Tap the Center Button once (TAP 1x).
  • End a Call: Press and hold the Center Button for 2 seconds (HOLD 2s).
  • Reject a call: Press and hold the Center Button for 2 seconds (HOLD 2s).
  • Voice Dial: Press and hold the Center Button for 3 seconds in stand-by mode (HOLD 3s).

Music Control

  • Play/Pause: Press and hold the Center Button for 1 second (HOLD 1s).
  • Track forward: Tap the (+) Button once (TAP 1x).
  • Track backward: Tap the (-) Button once (TAP 1x).

Mesh Intercom™

Open Mesh™: Communication within the same channel.

Group Mesh™: Communication within the same private group.

Mesh Intercom On: Tap the Mesh Intercom Button once (TAP 1x). The system will announce "Mesh intercom on, Open Mesh, channel 1".

Mesh Intercom Off: Tap the Mesh Intercom Button once (TAP 1x). The system will announce "Mesh intercom off".

Note: When Mesh Intercom is on, the FURY N04 will automatically connect to nearby FURY N04 users and the Bluetooth system will be in Open Mesh (default: channel 1) initially.

Open Mesh

Channel Setting (Default: channel 1) in Open Mesh

Using the Button:

  1. Enter into the Channel Setting: Tap the Center Button twice (TAP 2x). The system will announce "Channel setting, 1".
  2. Navigate between channels: Tap the (+) Button or (-) Button once (TAP 1x) to cycle through channels.
  3. Save the channel: Press and hold the Center Button for 1 second (HOLD 1s). The system will announce "Channel is set, channel #".

Using the Sena Motorcycles App:

You can select the channel through the Sena Motorcycles App.

Group Mesh

Group Mesh is a closed group intercom function that allows users to join, leave, or rejoin a group intercom conversation without pairing each Bluetooth system.

1) Creating a Group Mesh

Creating a Group Mesh requires two or more Open Mesh users.

  1. Users (You, B, and C) enter into Mesh Grouping: Press and hold the Center Button for 5 seconds (HOLD 5s). The system will announce "Mesh grouping".
  2. When Mesh Grouping is completed, the users (You, B and C) will hear a voice prompt on their Bluetooth system as Open Mesh switches to Group Mesh. The system will announce "Group Mesh".

2) Joining an Existing Group Mesh

One of the current users in an Existing Group Mesh can allow new users (one or more) in Open Mesh to join the Existing Group Mesh.

  1. One (You) of the current users in the Existing Group Mesh and new users (D and F) in Open Mesh enter into Mesh Grouping: Press and hold the Center Button for 5 seconds (HOLD 5s). The system will announce "Mesh grouping".
  2. When Mesh Grouping is completed, the new users (D and F) will hear a voice prompt on their Bluetooth system as Open Mesh switches to Group Mesh. The system will announce "Group Mesh".

Enable/Disable Mic (Default: Enable)

Users can enable/disable the microphone when communicating in a Mesh Intercom.

Press and hold the Center Button for 1 second (HOLD 1s). The system will announce "Mic on" or "Mic off".

Reset Mesh

If a Bluetooth system in an Open Mesh or Group Mesh resets the Mesh, it will automatically return to Open Mesh (default: channel 1).

Press and hold the Center Button for 8 seconds (HOLD 8s). The system will announce "Reset Mesh".

Note: Fault Reset will not restore the Bluetooth system to the factory default settings.

FM Radio

  • FM Radio On/Off: Press and hold the (-) Button for 1 second (HOLD 1s).
  • Start/Stop Scanning: Press and hold the (+) Button for 1 second (HOLD 1s).
  • Seek Forward: Tap the (+) Button twice (TAP 2x).
  • Seek Backward: Tap the (-) Button twice (TAP 2x).
  • Navigating Preset Stations: Press and hold the Center Button for 1 second (HOLD 1s).

Note: You can also save the current station from the Sena Motorcycles App.

Configuration Menu

Accessing the Configuration Menu

Press and hold the Center Button for 10 seconds (HOLD 10s). The system will announce "Configuration menu".

Navigating Between Menu Options

Tap the (+) Button or (-) Button once (TAP 1x) to navigate between menu options.

Execute Menu Options

Tap the Center Button once (TAP 1x) to execute a menu option.

Troubleshooting

Factory Reset

  1. Press and hold the Center Button for 10 seconds (HOLD 10s) until the system announces "Configuration menu".
  2. Tap the (-) Button twice (TAP 2x) until the system announces "Factory reset".
  3. Tap the Center Button once (TAP 1x). The system will announce "Headset reset, good-bye".

Fault Reset

Use the Pinhole Fault Reset Button to perform a fault reset.

Note: Fault Reset will not restore the Bluetooth system to the factory default settings.
