Whirlpool Washer Dryer Quick Start Guide

First Use

Upon first use, you will be prompted to select a language. Press buttons C and O to navigate and button 1 to confirm. To change the language later, turn off the machine, press and hold buttons ? and C simultaneously until an acoustic signal is heard, then follow the on-screen prompts.

To adjust display brightness (default is medium), turn off the machine, press and hold buttons ? and A simultaneously until an acoustic signal is heard. Use buttons C and O to select brightness and button 1 to confirm.

Detergent Drawer Compartments:

A partition (A) is provided for liquid detergent. For powder detergent, place the partition in cavity B.

First Wash Cycle

To remove any production residues:

  1. Select the "COTTON" program at 60°C.
  2. Add a small amount of powder detergent to the main wash compartment (max. 1/3 of the recommended dose for lightly soiled items).
  3. Start the program with an empty drum.

Daily Use

  1. Load Laundry: Prepare laundry according to "Tips and Suggestions." Open the door and load laundry, respecting the maximum load capacity indicated in the Program Table. Close the door firmly until it clicks, ensuring no laundry is caught between the glass and the rubber seal.
  2. Open Water Tap: Ensure the washer dryer is connected to the water supply and open the tap.
  3. Turn on Washer Dryer: Press button (1). The indicator light ? will flash slowly.
  4. Select Program and Customize Cycle: The appliance can perform:
    • Only Wash
    • Wash and Dry
    • Only Dry

Only Wash:

Select the desired program using the PROGRAM knob. The display will show the cycle name and duration. The default temperature and spin speed will be shown. Use the respective buttons to adjust temperature (press ? to decrease, up to cold wash) and spin speed (press ? to decrease, up to no spin). Pressing the buttons again will restore the maximum settings. Select desired options by pressing the corresponding button; the indicator light will turn on. Press again to deactivate.

Note: If an option is not compatible with the selected program, an error sound will be heard, and "Non Selezionabile" (Not Selectable) will be displayed.

Wash and Dry:

Ensure the load matches the maximum drying capacity for the selected program (refer to the Program Table). Follow the "Only Wash" instructions to select and customize the program. Press the ? button to select the drying type: automatic or timed.

For loads exceeding the maximum drying capacity, remove some items after the wash cycle before starting the drying phase. Follow instructions for "Only Dry.". A cooling phase always occurs at the end of drying.

Only Dry:

If you want to dry a load washed previously (by the machine or by hand):

  1. Select a program suitable for the fabric type.
  2. Press the ? button to perform only drying, excluding the wash phase.
  3. Select the desired drying type (automatic levels or timed) as described above.

Note: A cooling phase always occurs at the end of drying.

5. Dose Detergent: Extract the drawer and add detergent as explained in "Detergent Drawer." (Only for wash or wash + dry cycles).

6. Delay Start: Refer to the "Options and Functions" section.

7. Start Program: Press the START/PAUSE button ? (1). The door locks (? symbol turns off) and the drum rotates. The door unlocks (? symbol turns on) and locks again (? symbol turns off). The click sound is from the door locking mechanism. Water fills the drum, and the wash phase begins.

To change a program mid-cycle, pause by pressing START/PAUSE (light flashes amber), select the new cycle, and press START/PAUSE again. To open the door mid-cycle, press START/PAUSE; if the ? symbol turns on, the door can be opened. Press START/PAUSE again to resume.

8. Cancel Program: Press and hold the ? button until the washer dryer turns off. If the water level and temperature are low, the door unlocks. If water remains, the door stays locked. To unlock, turn on the machine, set SPIN & DRAIN program without spin (set to "- -"), drain the water, and the door will unlock.

9. Turn off Washer Dryer: "End cycle" will be displayed. The door can be opened when the ? symbol turns on. Open the door and unload laundry. Press ? to turn off. For energy saving, the machine will turn off automatically after about 10 minutes if not manually switched off. Leave the door slightly ajar to allow the interior to dry.

Washing Symbols on Garment Labels

The symbol in the tub indicates the maximum washing temperature.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Always turn off and unplug the machine before cleaning. Do not use flammable liquids. Clean and maintain the washer dryer periodically (at least 4 times a year).

Energy Saving and Environmental Protection

6th Sense: Sensor technology adjusts water and energy consumption and program duration to the actual load. For wash programs above 50°C, powder detergent is recommended. Follow detergent packaging instructions. * Selecting the SPIN & DRAIN program with spin set to "~" performs only draining. ** Program duration is shown on the display. *** At the end of the program executed with the maximum selectable spin speed, with default settings. The cycle duration displayed is an estimate; actual time may vary based on water pressure, ambient temperature, detergent amount, load size and type, load balance, and selected options. Values for programs other than Eco 40-60 are indicative.

1) Eco 40-60 (Wash & Dry): Test cycle in accordance with EU Ecodesign regulation 2019/2014. Most water and energy efficient program for washing normally soiled cotton items. Note: displayed spin speed values may differ slightly from table values. 2) Eco 40-60 (Drying): Test drying cycle in accordance with EU Ecodesign regulation 2019/2014. To start the wash and dry cycle, select the "Eco 40-60" wash program and set the drying option level to "11". Most water and energy efficient program for washing and drying normally soiled cotton items. Items can be stored immediately after the cycle. For test institutes: 2) Long cotton program: set COTTON program at 40°C. 3) Long synthetic program: set SYNTHETICS program at 40°C.
