Getting Started
Setting up Home Connect
Connect your appliance to a mobile device for convenient control via the Home Connect app.
- Install the Home Connect app on your mobile device and follow the on-screen instructions.

Water Hardness Settings
Overview of Water Hardness
Select the appropriate water hardness setting for optimal cleaning results. A table of country-specific units can be found in the full instruction manual.

Setting the Water Softening System
- [Press button].
- To open the basic settings, press and hold the [setup button] for 3 seconds.
- The display will show "Hxx" (current setting) and then "set".
- Press the [start button] repeatedly until the desired water hardness value is displayed.
- To save the settings, press and hold the [setup button] for 3 seconds.
Adding Detergents and Additives
Adding Special Salt
To prevent appliance damage, add special salt only to the dispenser just before starting a programme.
- Unscrew the lid of the special salt dispenser and remove it. [Diagram description: Hand unscrewing a cap from a dispenser.]
- On initial start-up: Fill the dispenser completely with water.
- Add the special salt to the dispenser. The water in the dispenser will be displaced and forced out. Never add detergent here. [Diagram description: Salt being poured into the dispenser, with water overflowing slightly.]

Adding Rinse Aid
- Press the catch on the lid of the rinse aid dispenser and lift it open. [Diagram description: Finger pressing a catch to open a dispenser lid.]
- Add rinse aid up to the [maximum level] mark. [Diagram description: Liquid being poured into the rinse aid dispenser up to a marked line.]

Adding Detergent
- Add the detergent to the dry detergent dispenser. [Diagram description: Powder or liquid detergent being placed into the main detergent compartment.]

Recommended detergent amounts: 50 ml, 25 ml, 15 ml (refer to detergent packaging for specific amounts).
Programmes
Programme data is measured according to European standard EN 60436. Consumption figures depend on the selected programme and additional functions. Running time may change if the rinse aid system is switched off or needs refilling.

1) Suitable programme for running at night: it takes longer, but is extremely quiet.
How to Use Your Appliance
- Load the tableware. Only use tableware suitable for dishwashers. Remove large food remnants. Ensure spray arms can rotate freely.
- Add detergent.
- Switch on the appliance [power symbol].
- Select the programme.
- Start the programme [start button].
- Remove the tableware at the end of the programme.
- To cancel the programme, press and hold the [reset button] for approx. 4 seconds. The programme will cancel and end after approx. 1 minute.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Cleaning Filters
Check filters for residue after each wash.
- Turn the coarse filter anticlockwise ➡️ and remove the filter system [step 2]. [Diagram description: Hand turning a filter component counter-clockwise.]
- Pull down the micro filter to remove it. [Diagram description: Hand pulling a smaller filter downwards.]
- Press the locking catches together and lift the coarse filter out [step 1]. [Diagram description: Fingers pressing two catches simultaneously to release a filter.]
- Clean the filter elements under running water.
- Re-assemble the filter system.
- Insert the filter system into the appliance and turn the coarse filter clockwise until the arrow markings align. [Diagram description: Filter system being inserted and turned clockwise.]
Cleaning Spray Arms
- Unscrew the upper spray arms and pull them down to remove [step 2]. [Diagram description: Hand unscrewing a spray arm.]

- Check the outlet nozzles on the spray arms for blockages under running water and remove any foreign bodies.
- Insert the lower spray arm. It will click into position.
- Insert the upper spray arms and screw them firmly in place.
Clean Wastewater Pump
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
- Remove the filter system.
- Scoop out any remaining water.

- Remove any food remnants and foreign bodies from the impeller area. [Diagram description: Small debris being removed from the pump mechanism.]

- Install the filter system.
Troubleshooting
