Introduction
This tool is intended for grinding, cutting, and deburring metal and stone materials without the use of water. It is not intended for professional use. Cutting operations with abrasive cut-off wheels are only allowed when a cut-off guard (available as optional SKIL accessory 2610S00253 for 9130/9134 or 2610S00275 for 9131/9132) is used. Please read and save this instruction manual.

Safety Instructions for Angle Grinders
- Safety Warnings Common for Grinding or Abrasive Cutting-Off Operations
- This power tool is intended for grinding or cut-off operations.
- Not recommended for sanding, wire brushing, or polishing.
- Use only accessories specifically designed and recommended by the manufacturer.
- Accessory rated speed must be at least equal to the maximum speed marked on the power tool.
- Outside diameter and thickness of accessory must be within the power tool's capacity rating.
- Threaded mounting of accessories must match the grinder spindle thread.
- Do not use a damaged accessory. Inspect wheels for chips and cracks, backing pads for cracks, wire brushes for loose wires. Test-run tool at maximum no-load speed for one minute after installing an accessory.
- Wear personal protective equipment (face shield, safety goggles, safety glasses, dust mask, hearing protectors, gloves, shop apron).
- Keep bystanders a safe distance away from the work area.
- Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces only, when the accessory may contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
- Position the cord clear of the spinning accessory.
- Never lay the power tool down until the accessory has come to a complete stop.
- Do not run the power tool while carrying it at your side.
- Regularly clean the power tool's air vents.
- Do not operate the power tool near flammable materials.
- Do not use accessories that require liquid coolants.
- Kickback and Related Warnings
- Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched or snagged rotating wheel, backing pad, brush, or other accessory.
- Maintain a firm grip on the power tool and position your body and arm to resist kickback forces. Always use the auxiliary handle.
- Never place your hand near the rotating accessory.
- Do not position your body in the area where the power tool will move if kickback occurs.
- Use special care when working corners, sharp edges, etc. Avoid bouncing and snagging.
- Do not attach a saw chain woodcarving blade or toothed saw blade.
- Safety Warnings Specific for Grinding and Abrasive Cutting-Off Operations
- Use only wheel types recommended for your power tool and the specific guard designed for the selected wheel.
- The grinding surface of centre depressed wheels must be mounted below the plane of the guard lip.
- The guard must be securely attached and positioned for maximum safety.
- Wheels must be used only for recommended applications. Do not grind with the side of a cut-off wheel.
- Always use undamaged wheel flanges that are of correct size and shape.
- Do not use worn down wheels from larger power tools.
- Additional Safety Warnings Specific for Cutting Off Operations
- Do not "jam" the cut-off wheel or apply excessive pressure. Do not attempt an excessive depth of cut.
- Do not position your body in line with and behind the rotating wheel.
- When the wheel is binding or interrupting a cut, switch off the power tool and hold it motionless until the wheel stops. Never attempt to remove the cut-off wheel from the cut while it is in motion.
- Do not restart the cutting operation in the workpiece. Let the wheel reach full speed and carefully re-enter the cut.
- Support panels or oversized workpieces to minimize the risk of wheel pinching and kickback.
- Use extra caution when making a "pocket cut" into existing walls or other blind areas.
Additional Safety Instructions
General:
- This tool is not suitable for wet grinding/cutting.
- Only use the flanges supplied with this tool.
- This tool should not be used by people under the age of 16 years.
- Always disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustment or changing any accessory.
Accessories:
- SKIL assures flawless functioning only when original accessories are used.
- Use only grinding/cutting discs with a maximum thickness of 6 mm and a spindle hole diameter of 22 mm.
- For non-SKIL accessories, observe the manufacturer's instructions.
- Never use reducers or adaptors to fit large-hole grinding/cutting discs.
- Never use accessories with a "blind" threaded hole smaller than M14 x 21 mm.
- Handle and store grinding/cutting discs carefully to avoid chipping and cracking.
Outdoor Use:
- Connect the tool via a fault current (FI) circuit breaker with a triggering current of 30 mA maximum.

Maintenance / Service
- This tool is not intended for professional use.
- Always keep the tool and cord clean, especially ventilation slots J ?️.
- Do not attempt to clean ventilation slots by inserting pointed objects through openings.
- Disconnect the plug before cleaning.
- If the tool fails, repair should be carried out by an after-sales service centre for SKIL power tools. Send the tool undismantled with proof of purchase to your dealer or the nearest SKIL service station.
- Damage due to overload or improper handling is excluded from the warranty.

- Other applications may have different vibration values.
- Vibration emission level measured in accordance with EN 60745 may be used to compare tools and assess vibration exposure.
- Using the tool for different applications, or with different/poorly maintained accessories, may significantly increase exposure level.
