Safety Precautions and Information
All product usage information is contained in the user manual. Before using it, please read and follow the instructions. Please also familiarize yourself with the following information before use:
Usage Precautions
- Risk of Product Damage:
- Connect routers, switches, and other network devices only to outlets with the correct voltage and current, as recommended by the manufacturer.
- Avoid placing devices in confined spaces without adequate ventilation; overheating can lead to failure.
- Always use appropriate network cables (e.g., RJ45 compliant with CAT5E, CAT6 category). Using low-quality cables can affect connection stability.
- Protect devices from moisture and water. In case of contact with liquid, immediately disconnect the device from power and contact the manufacturer's service.
- Avoid overloading connected accessories (e.g., RJ45 plugs, USB adapters) by using devices and cables that comply with standards.
- Protect delicate components, such as plug covers or keystone jacks, from mechanical damage; breaking them can lead to connectivity problems.
- When handling network cables and connectors, avoid pulling them at an angle. Always disconnect them in a straight line to prevent damage to pins or distortion of connectors.
- Do not use excessive amounts of thermal paste; application in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations minimizes the risk of short circuits and component overheating.
- Network Security Risk:
- Secure Wi-Fi access by using a strong password and encryption (WPA2/WPA3). Lack of adequate security can lead to unauthorized network access.
- Regularly update router and switch firmware to protect the network from external threats.
- Compatibility Risk:
- Before purchasing, ensure that accessories are compatible with your equipment (e.g., plug type, network standard, or dimensions).
- For USB switches or Wi-Fi devices, always check their maximum bandwidth to avoid reducing network or device performance.
- Risk to Children:
- Small parts, such as modular RJ45 connectors or plug covers, can pose a choking hazard to children. Store accessories in a place inaccessible to children.
- Thermal paste and other chemical materials should be stored out of reach of children; they are not intended for use without adult supervision.
- Environmental Risk:
- All products in this category, including routers, switches, and network accessories, should be disposed of at designated e-waste collection points in accordance with local waste management regulations. Proper disposal helps protect the environment from pollution.
Usage Recommendations
- When installing RJ45 cable plug covers, ensure they are correctly fitted to the cable type to avoid damaging both the cable and the cover.
- When using USB switches or LAN switches, ensure the device has adequate ventilation and is not covered.
- Install modular RJ45 connectors using dedicated crimping tools to ensure connection durability and prevent internal damage.
- When applying thermal paste, ensure the processor and heatsink surfaces are clean and degreased.
Maintenance and Storage
- Regularly clean devices such as routers and switches with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust from vents and ports.
- Chemical components, such as thermal paste, should be stored in a dry and cool place in their original packaging.
- Store network cables and connectors in dedicated organizers to prevent tangling and damage to plugs.
Additional Precautions
- User Customization:
- Choose accessories suitable for your needs, e.g., switches with an appropriate number of ports, CAT5E/CAT6 standard modular plugs, or compatible plug covers.
- If using accessories in an office environment, choose products with increased durability, such as reinforced keystone jacks.
- Damage and Service:
- In case of mechanical damage, such as broken plugs, damaged jacks, or device overheating, stop using the device immediately.
- Do not attempt to repair damaged accessories yourself; contact the manufacturer's authorized service center.
- Replace all damaged cables and accessories with original, manufacturer-recommended parts.
