Lamp Components
A diagram illustrates the components of a table lamp:
- Lamp Body (A)
- Socket Assembly (B)
- Saddle (C)
- Harp (D)
- Shade (E)
- Finial (F)
The diagram shows the lamp base (A), with the socket assembly (B) attached. The harp (D) connects to the socket assembly via a saddle (C). The shade (E) sits on top of the harp, and the finial (F) secures the shade.
Assembly Steps
- Fasten Socket Assembly (B) to Lamp Body (A). Be careful not to twist the power cord.
- Insert Harp (D) into Saddle (C).
- Place Shade (E) onto Harp (D) and tighten Finial (F).
Important Safety Instructions
CAUTION: This table lamp has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a feature to reduce the risk of electric shock. This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
- If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug.
- If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
- Never use with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted.
- Do not alter the plug.
