If damage is found, immediately contact last carrier. REPLACEMENT FLUE TRANSITION COUPLING "--_ (to vent pipe) BOOT /- (to cold end collector box trap) Flue transition replacement kit (59M03) is used on all G26, 90UGF or G32 series units to replace the flue transition. Kit also makes provisions to drain the combustion air inducer. _ O EX(toHAcUoSmTbusAtDioAnPTaEiRr inducer outlet) A, WARNING ,CAUTION Refer to figure 1 when disassembling unit. 1- Shut off the gas supply to the furnace, then disconnect the electrical power. 2 - Remove the upper furnace access panel. 3- Units equipped with flue wye with no-hub connectors at the combustion air inducer and vent pipe - Disconnect the worm gear damps on the no-hub connectors at the top and bottom of the existing flue wye. Lift vent pipe away from flue wye and remove flue wye from cabinet. Also remove black drain tube connected to the cold header collector box. FIGURE 1 Units equipped with flue transition and flue collar -- Disconnect the worm gear clamps at the combustion air inducer and at the flue collar. Remove the existing flue transition from the cabinet. Also remove black drain tube connected to the cold header collector box. Cut the existing vent pipe at the vent collar. Remove screws securing flue collar to cabinet, then remove flue collar. 4 - Remove flue trap boot and 1/8" NPT plastic elbow from the cold header (collector) box. Set the spring clamp aside for later use, 5- Drill a 1/4" hole in the boss in the bottom of the combustion air inducer housing, Take care to drill straight into the boss Do not drill into the housing outside of the boss or into the blower wheel. 6 - Slip the end of the 1-1/2" long 3/8" ID tube from the drain hose assembly over the drilled boss. Use the provided clamp to secure the tubing to the boss. 7 - Route the drain hose out the right or left side of the unit, Make a loop in the hose to serve as a trap, Route the hose to a drain line. 8 - If the combustion air inducer housing is gray in color, notch the inside of the exhaust adapter inlet of the 03/03 IIIIIIlIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII Page1 504,760M IIIHIIIIIHIHIIHIIIHIIIIH replacement flue transition to fit the vane in the combustion air inducer housing outlet. 9 - Position the replacement flue transition assembly in the unit with the coupling at the top and the exhaust adapter at the bottom. Use the worm gear tubing clamp to secure the inlet of the exhaust adapter to the outlet of the combustion air inducer. 10- Route the coupling end of the replacement flue transition assembly through the unit top cap. 11 - Use approved PVC primer and adhesive to glue the vent pipe to the coupling at the top of the replacement flue transition assembly. 12 - Route the 14-1/4" clear vinyl 3/8" tubing from the exhaust adapter over the combustion air inducer housing. Use the previously removed clamp to secure the flue trap boot from the transition assembly to the bottom drain trap of the cold header (collector) box. Insert the provided 118"NPT plastic plug in the opening in the cold header (collector) box where the barbed elbow was removed. 13 - Reinstall the unit access panels. 14 - Restore gas and electrical supplies to unit. 15-Follow lighting instructions to light the furnace. Initiate a heating demand and verify proper unit operation. 16 - Flue transition drain and cold header (collector) box drain should be checked yearly and cleaned, if necessary.
