Bobcat S250 & S300 Skid-Steer Loaders

Engineered for Performance and Versatility

Introduction

The Bobcat S250 and S300 Skid-Steer Loaders are designed to deliver exceptional power, reach, and operational efficiency for a wide range of demanding tasks. Featuring innovative vertical-path lift arms, these loaders excel in applications requiring significant lifting height and extended reach, such as construction, landscaping, agriculture, and material handling.

Vertical-Path Lift Arms: Reach New Heights

The defining feature of the S250 and S300 is their vertical-path lift arm design. This configuration provides a more direct vertical lift, offering greater reach at full lift height compared to traditional radius lift paths. This capability is crucial for efficiently loading high-sided trucks and hoppers, as well as precisely placing pallets of heavy materials like sod, brick, or block.

Bobcat S250: Power Straight Up!

The S250 is an ideal machine for construction, landscaping, nurseries, masonry, concrete, and agricultural applications. It boasts a powerful, vertical-path lift arm system delivering an impressive 2,500-pound rated operating capacity. With a reach of 34 inches and a lift height of 10.5 feet, it facilitates fast and effortless truck loading. The S250 also offers enhanced hydraulic power through an optional high-flow package, providing an additional 10 GPM for a total of 30.9 GPM. This system supports specialized high-performance Bobcat attachments like chippers, planers, concrete pumps, stump grinders, and trenchers.

Bobcat S300: The Truck-Loading Loader!

Engineered for superior power and lift, the S300 is the ultimate machine for applications demanding strength and lifting capability. It features a 3,000-pound rated operating capacity, making light work of heavy loads such as pallets of sod, brick, and concrete blocks. Its vertical-path lift arms, 34-inch reach, and 10.5-foot lift height ensure seamless loading into tall trucks. The S300 is powered by a robust 81-horsepower, turbo-charged, liquid-cooled Kubota diesel engine, delivering ample strength for any task.

Operator Experience and Comfort

Bobcat loaders are engineered with the operator in mind, combining productivity with comfort.

Excellent Visibility

The redesigned structure and lift arms of the S250 and S300 provide excellent visibility to the front and rear tires. This enhanced sightline is critical when operating close to walls or fences, maneuvering around concrete forms and grading stakes, or backing onto trailer ramps.

Operator Comfort

The advanced cab is designed for operator comfort and productivity, featuring:

Instrument Panels

State-of-the-art instrument panels offer numerous operational features, diagnostics, and monitoring capabilities. The optional deluxe instrument panel includes a keyless start security system, feature lockouts, digital time and job clocks, a multi-language display, and a helpful "help" menu.

Climate-Controlled Cab

The climate-controlled cab option features a high-visibility front door with a wiper and washer. The cab enclosure, complete with top, rear, and side windows, seals effectively to optimize the performance of the heater or air conditioning system.

Bobcat Engineering Excellence

Bobcat Engineering sets the standard for operator-friendly performance, delivering a wide range of innovative features and value-added options.

Belt Drive Advantage

The Bobcat belt drive system allows loader engines to run at slower speeds, resulting in a quieter machine with a longer lifespan and reduced fuel consumption. This system also enhances pump efficiency and minimizes steering lever effort. A 3-year belt warranty is available.

Clean Cooling System

The exclusive Bobcat dual-path cooling system draws clean, cool air from above, directing it through the engine and hydraulic oil coolers. This air is then mixed with engine compartment air before being exhausted through two side vents, ensuring optimal operating temperatures.

Engine and Hydraulic Systems Monitor with Shutdown

A standard feature on most Bobcat loaders, this system monitors critical machine functions, including engine coolant temperature, engine oil pressure, and hydraulic oil temperature. If any monitored function deviates from its normal operating range, the system provides an audible alert and a warning message. Depending on the severity, it may automatically shut down the machine to prevent catastrophic failure.

Built for Reliability and Ease of Use

Bobcat loaders are designed for durability, safety, and ease of operation.

Built-In Safety Features

The S250 and S300 incorporate the Bobcat Interlock Control System (BICSTM). This safety system requires the operator to be seated, with the seat bar in place and the engine running. After the operator activates the "press to operate loader" button, the hydraulic lift and tilt functions, along with the traction drive system, become operational.

Serviceability

Bobcat serviceability is a key advantage. The swing-out tailgate provides full access to the engine for checks and fills, filters, and the battery. Unlike some other brands, the lift arms do not need to be raised for routine servicing, significantly reducing shop time.

Exclusive Bob-Tach™ System

The Bob-Tach™ system allows for fast and secure attachment changes. The frame of the attachment connects to the loader's Bob-Tach frame, and a handle is pushed down to engage a wedge, creating a solid connection. A Power Bob-Tach™ option is also available.

Versatility and Support

Maximize the utility of your Bobcat loader with a wide array of attachments and comprehensive support services.

Choice of Attachments

Bobcat loaders are compatible with a wide variety of quick-mounting attachments, allowing operators to easily switch between tasks. Common attachments include:

Hooking up attachments is made even easier with the optional Power Bob-Tach™.

Factory-trained service technicians are equipped to handle all service requirements, including engine and hydrostatic/hydraulic components. An excellent warranty program is also in place.
