Before Use
Selecting a Sanding Sheet
The material removal rate and surface quality depend on the grit of the sanding sheet. Use appropriate grit for different materials.
Changing Sanding Sheets
The sander features a Velcro system for quick and easy sheet changes. To remove, lift the sanding sheet (4) from the sanding pad (3). Before fitting a new sheet, clean the sanding pad. Ensure the holes on the sheet align with the pad's holes.
Dust/Chip Extraction
Refer to the "Safety Information" section. For dust collection, push the dust collector (2) onto the appliance. To empty, pull it off. For optimal extraction, empty the dust collector regularly by opening it and removing the dust bag.
External Extraction
Connect a vacuum cleaner hose to the exhaust nozzle (6). Use the adapter (7) if needed. To remove, pull the hose off the nozzle or adapter.
Use
Switching On and Off
Always switch the sander ON before contacting the workpiece. You can choose between instantaneous and continuous operation.
- Switching On: Push the ON/OFF switch (1) forward.
- Switching Off: Push the ON/OFF switch (1) backward.
Speed Preselection
Select the required speed using the speed control (5), from Level 1 (low speed) to Level 6 (high speed).
Working Procedures
Wait for the tool to stop completely before setting it down.
Sanding Surfaces
Turn the tool ON, place the entire sanding surface onto the material, and move it with moderate pressure. The removal rate and sanding pattern are determined by the sanding sheet and contact pressure. Ensure even pressure; excessive pressure increases wear without improving efficiency. Do not use sanding sheets that have been used for metal on other materials.
Maintenance and Cleaning
The random orbital sander is maintenance-free. Clean the tool immediately after use with a dry cloth. Do not use fuel, solvents, or abrasive cleaners. Keep ventilation openings clear. Remove any adhering grinding dust with a brush.
Disposal
Packaging is made from environmentally friendly materials and can be recycled. Do not dispose of power tools in household waste. Follow European Directive 2012/19/EU for WEEE. Consult local authorities for disposal information.
