1. Safety Instructions
Electric bikes are not permitted on public transport roads requiring local law and policy observance when driving the Y600. Scooters are leisure products requiring practice to master riding skills. Engwe is not responsible for injuries or damages due to rider inexperience or failure to follow instructions.
Important Safety Tips:
- Before lending your scooter, ensure the person has read this manual, watched instructional videos, and received a beginner's guide. Assist them in learning basic operations and ensure they wear a helmet and protective equipment.
- Using a scooter carries risks of injury or death from loss of control, collisions, and falls. Scooters are suitable for hard surfaces in relatively enclosed environments (e.g., small areas, parks, dedicated fields). Avoid obstacles and contact points. Be alert and slow down in unfamiliar environments.
- Read and follow all 'Caution' and 'Warning' notices. Do not exceed the speed limit or ride on motorways.
- For your first ride, choose areas free of children, pedestrians, pets, vehicles, or bicycles.
- Respect pedestrians' rights; avoid frightening them, especially the elderly, children, disabled, and pregnant women. Alert pedestrians when approaching from the rear and slow down when overtaking. Obey local traffic laws.
- In countries without electric scooter laws, strictly adhere to the safety requirements in this manual. Engwe is not liable for property damage, personal injury, or legal disputes arising from user violation of safety tips.
- Before riding, check for loose fasteners or damaged parts. If the scooter makes unusual noises or alarms, stop using it immediately and consult your point of purchase or email the manufacturer.
- Observe road surface, avoid obstacles, and ride on level ground (avoiding wet, loose sand, rocky ground, ice).
- This product is suitable for ages 14-60 and weighs up to 120kg (264lbs).
- Do not charge when the charging port, charger, or power outlet is wet.
- Charge the scooter only with the original Engwe charger.
- Use only Engwe approved parts and accessories; do not modify your scooter.
- Children should not use scooters or play with parts. Scooter vibration can affect the driver's body.
- Park on a flat, firm surface. If parking on a slope, the stand must face downhill to prevent tipping. Ensure the kickstand support does not close under gravity. After lowering the kickstand, check vehicle stability. Do not park in busy areas; prefer parking against a wall or on a flat road.
- Regular maintenance is recommended for a better driving experience.
- Read the user manual before charging.
- Do not touch brake parts as this may cause injury.
Unsuitable Users:
- Individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Individuals unable to perform strenuous exercise due to illness or maintain balance.
- Individuals exceeding the prescribed weight limit (120kg/264lbs).
- Pregnant women.
- Minors must be supervised by adults.
Environmental and Operational Warnings:
- Observe local laws and regulations; do not ride where prohibited.
- Ensure you can see the area in front and are visible to others.
- Do not ride in snow, rain, slippery, muddy, or icy weather. Avoid riding over obstacles (sand, rocks, barricades) as this may cause loss of balance or grip, leading to falls.
- Damage from water ingress is not covered by warranty.
- Do not drive at night.
- Avoid sudden acceleration or deceleration. Do not exceed the speed limit to prevent loss of control, collision, and falls.
