Unlock the Packaging Locks: Turn the packaging locks counterclockwise several times. Pull out and discard the packaging locks. 4 GETTING STARTED Battery Removal and Installation 1. Make sure the unit is turned Off. 2. Find the battery cover located on the bottom of the unit, use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open the battery cover. 3. Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery. 4. Install 2 new AA (LR6/AM-3) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (for best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended). 5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure. WARNING: Adult assembly required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of reach of children. ATTENTION : Les piles ou accumulateurs doivent être installés par un adulte. On/Off Button Press the On/Off Button to turn the unit On and press it again to turn the unit Off. 2. Settings Button Press the Settings Button to adjust the volume and screen contrast. Press the left or right Arrow Button to choose which item to adjust, then press the Enter Button to confirm. 3. Help Button Press the Help Button to hear an instruction or a question repeated. 4. Mode Selector Slide the Mode Selector to choose one of the five character modes.There are two fun games within each character mode. 5. Bluey Button Press the Bluey Button to hear Bluey speak and see her on the screen. 6. Arrow Buttons Press the left/right or up/down Arrow Buttons to make selections. 7. Enter Button Press the Enter Button to confirm your choice. 8. Background Music On/Off Button Press the Background Music On/Off Button to turn the background music off, press this button again to turn the background music on. 8 9. Letter Buttons Press the Letter Buttons to learn letters or to answer letter related questions. 10. Number Buttons Press the Number Buttons to learn numbers or to answer number-related questions. 11. Automatic Shut-Off To preserve battery life, the Bluey Game Time Laptop will automatically turn Off after around 2 minutes without input. The unit can be turned On again by pressing the On/Off Button. The unit will also automatically turn Off when the batteries are very low. A warning will be displayed on the screen as a reminder to change the batteries. 9 ACTIVITIES The VTech® Bluey Game Time Laptop offers a total of 10 fun games in 5 character modes. Bluey Games 1. Rain Press the left or right Arrow Buttons to pick the object that fits the space in the dam wall. Press the Enter Button to confirm. 2. Dance Mode Watch Bluey dance! Press the Number Buttons to choose tunes and press the Letter Buttons to add fun sounds to the music. Bingo Games 1. Grannies Type the letters and numbers to help Rita avoid slipping on the cans of beans. 2. Fairies Watch closely to find out where the fairy is. Press the left or right Arrow Button to choose and then press the Enter Button to confirm. Dad Games 1. Hospital Identify what is on Dad's x-ray. Press the left or right Arrow Buttons to select the right object and then press the Enter Button to confirm. 2. Fancy Restaurant Press the left or right Arrow Button to help Bingo to get the food for the special dishes. Press the Enter Button to confirm. 10 Mum Games 1. Musical Statues Press the Arrow Buttons to make Bluey dance. Stop pressing buttons when the music stops to help Bluey freeze. 2. Promises Press the left or right Arrow Buttons to select the odd one out. Press the Enter Button to confirm. Relatives & Friends Games 1. Muffin Press the left or right Arrow Buttons to select the item that Muffin wants. Press the Enter Button to confirm. 2. Spy Game Remember the password and type it by pressing the Letter Buttons and Number Buttons. 11 CARE & MAINTENANCE 1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth. 2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and heat source. 3. Remove the batteries when the unit is not in use for an extended period of time. 4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water. 5. If the unit stops working or malfunctions, install a new set of batteries. TROUBLESHOOTING If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps: 1. Turn the unit Off. 2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the battery. 3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the battery. 4. Turn the unit back On. The unit should now be ready to use again. 5. If the unit still does not work, insert a new battery.
